Regional Disability Inclusive Development Officer/Advisor

OBJECTIVE:
Acts in the Role of Regional Disability Inclusive Development Officer/Advisor to support the capacity development needs of the CBM regional team and partners.
The job holder works closely with all CBM teams in the Asia Central region. This focuses on planning, monitoring, reporting and evaluation of the inclusive development component of the country office plans and project portfolio in alignment with the CBM Federation Strategy 2021. The job holder is also responsible for promoting and building strategic alliances in the region. Additionally, the job holder makes a substantial contribution to the development of technical expertise and resources on inclusive development within CBM and its partners.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA:
Education, Knowledge & Professional Experience
- Understanding of inclusive project cycle management;
- Ability to develop short, medium and long-term strategies with regard to staff and partner capacity development;
- Possessing capacity development experience, including in training, facilitation and mentoring;
- Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision;
- Relevant academic degree;
- Previous experience of developing networks and alliances with different stakeholders including DPOs, CSOs, government and international agencies;
- Pro-activeness and resourcefulness;
- Effectiveness at team work and interpersonal relationships;
- Excellent organisational skills, and ability to deal with stress or pressure;
- Willingness to travel

Responsibilities:
Provision of technical assistance:
- Provide advice and guidance to CBM colleagues and partners to help direct the planning and implementation of country strategic plans and Multi-years plan (MYPs) to be in line with DID standards; and
- Provide advice and guidance on materials produced by CBM partners and colleagues in the region to support them in meeting DID standards.
Supporting capacity development of others:
- Support team members in their different functions to be able to building their competencies in DID and apply it in their work;
- Support partners and other stakeholders in the region to strengthen their DID understanding and practices through training, facilitation and mentoring as needed; and
- Direct partners and colleagues to useful internal and external resources.
Contributing to CBM’s DID Community of Practice (COP):
- Actively participate in the DIDCOP and bring back learning to colleagues and partners, adapting it to the country and regional context; and
- Support the regional and country offices as well as partners in the documentation of DID case studies, good practices and lessons learnt as part of knowledge development and sharing.
Building internal knowledge and systems:
- Develop and keep updated baseline information on the national level DID situation for the region to monitor development over time; and
- Support Regional Office (RO) & Country Office (CO) colleagues to build their respective databases of consultants and suppliers to include persons with disabilities and support inclusive practices.
Strengthening advocacy and alliances:
- Represent CBM, promoting DID in relevant national and international events, forums and networks; and
- Maintain the RO database of alliances and networks concerning DID
