Position: Project Assistant/Secretary

Employer: JICA/ DATIP Project on Capacity Development on Assisting Victims of Trafficking in the Greater Mekong Sub-Regional Countries

Background

The ‘Capacity Development on Assisting Victims of Trafficking in The Greater Mekong Sub-Regional Countries’ is a technical cooperation project agreed between the Government of Thailand and Japan to combat human trafficking. Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is implementing agency of Japan side. It is a project to strengthen the capacities of officers and people working with Victims of Trafficking (VOT) in order to assist VOT build new lives after they are rescued.

Qualifications - Bachelor or higher degree - New graduates are welcome

- Excellent communication skills in English (equivalent to the level of TOEIC score not less than 800/ IELTS 6.5) and Thai (especially writing skill)

- Computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet etc - Ability to work in a team, good coordination skill

- Interest in anti-human trafficking

- Knowledge of other languages in Mekong Sub-region (especially Lao and Khmer) is an advantage - Working experience in social work related field is an advantage Responsibilities:

Main responsibilities are to support all tasks under the Project such as:

a. To provide administrative assistance to the Project Staff

b. To translate and interpret English /Thai and Thai/English.

c. To coordinate between JICA Experts and counterpart, and relevant organizations

d. To make minutes of meeting when assigned by JICA Experts

e. To assist JICA Experts in conducting workshops/ seminars.

f. To assist and accompany JICA Experts for business trips, if necessary.

g. To conduct any other necessary tasks assigned by JICA Experts including overtime / holiday work.

Probation Period:

One month from mid-June 2017

(Those who have successfully passed the probation period will be given a one year contract)
