We are looking for a qualified individual to join the team in Thailand as Accouting Officer
Main purpose of the role
- To assist the Finance and Accounting team in monitoring of all accounting matters relating to World Animal Protection – Thailand office.
- To assist the Finance and Accounting team in supporting staff to follow the Finance and Procurement procedures.
- To assist the Finance and Accounting team with Tax reports to Government and monthly report.
Accountabilities
- The Accounting officer is ultimately accountable for Finance and Accounting system including procurement procedure and Tax reports to Revenue Department
- The Accounting officer will comply with the organisation’s policies and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Record all the transactions in the Navision accounting software.
- Ensure all the accounting / voucher files are recorded correctly.
- Calculate and enter depreciation and all prepaid expenses into the Navision accounting system.
- Issue the withholding tax and submit to the Revenue Department on monthly basis.
- Ensure all purchase request forms comply to procurement requirements and issue purchase orders.
- Update the Contract register report and Supplier information sheet.
- Reconcile GL Account (Accrued expenses, Advance, Credit card and Account payable) including Bank reconciliation.
- Assist and update the Finance and Accounting team about the Taxes, Accounting principle standard and related laws and regulations.
- Provide support to both country and international staff.
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in Accounting
- At least two years work experience in accounting.
- Experience in working with INGO would be an advantage.
- Knowledge in accounting, finance and taxes regulations.
- Ability to communicate in English (read, write and speak).
- Able to use basic office systems and appliances i.e. Microsoft Office
