Baan Dek Foundation (previously known as Kids Home Foundation) is a non-profit, non-political and non-religious, organization based in Chiang Mai that supports over 1000 children in need and their families living in construction sites and slums. Through specifically tailored educational programs and flexible individual support, Baan Dek protects endangered children, allows families to becoming self-sustainable and gives opportunities for a better future.
Responsibilities of the advertised positions:
Baan Dek Foundation is currently looking for a professional and dedicated local Administrative Assistant & Field Assistant who is committed to helping vulnerable children and migrant communities living on construction areas. The Administrative Assistant will work under direct supervision of the General Manager and the Assistant Manager in Chiang Mai.
Role and responsibilities include - but are not restricted to:
Required skills:
Nationality: Post is open to Thai citizens only.
Language skills: Fluent Thai (spoken and written) and English proficient speaking and writing skills.
Training: Degree or experience in relevant field (administration, office management, secretarial work, translation).
Experience: Previous experience in the field of office administration is required. Experience in Thai English document translation / positions related to NGO or social work are considered a significant asset.
Other skills/interests: committed to social work/child welfare, dedication for non-profit work, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, teamwork ability, flexibility on working hours, tolerance & human values, highly motivated, positive and enthusiastic, ability to work proactively and independently.
Working hours: Full time - Monday to Friday (full-time position) + occasionally on weekend + evenings
Salary: Starting 10.000 THB (To be defined based on experience and qualifications. Baan Dek foundation will also provide additional benefits (food, transportation & phone allowance, etc.)
