JOB TITLE: Knowledge Management Specialist 1 position
DEPARTMENT: Office of Knowledge Management
TEAM PURPOSE: To develop and direct the creation and implementation of organization’s knowledge management strategies in order to effectively promote the organization and its products.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Define, identify and gather knowledge assets from departments and functions throughout the organization.
- Summarize and simplify selective knowledge contents from research papers/ publications, seminar, conferences as quick bite summaries to facilitate learning process.
- Promote a knowledge sharing and learning culture at TIJ.
- Train and educate users of the knowledge management tools and activities.
- Look for interesting and applicable knowledge sources outside organization and create platform/ activities within TIJ to benefit from the knowledge.
- Identify opportunities to share TIJ’s knowledge to peer global institutes to optimize TIJ’s results and recognition.
- Work with HR Development and internal stakeholders to ensure tacit knowledge of retiring or departing key executives/ personnel remain in organization.
- Coordinate with IT and related stakeholders to put together knowledge platform to facilitate easy access, sharing and dissemination of information for internal and external customers and ensure the knowledge is stored effectively so it can be systematically retrieved when in need, by the persons with needs.
- Coordinate on Office of Knowledge Management events.
- Work with Office of Public Communications to leverage knowledge contents on communications channels.
- Manage TIJ library and promote its usage among internal and targeted external customers.
- Manage budget related to knowledge management activities
- Monitor progress and key measures of success to ensure that ongoing benefits are realized, and facilitate development of controls with internal and external customers through streamlining processes and system automation.
- Develop reports as required to support operations, and prepare presentations for management to support recommended changes, new initiatives or enhancements.
- Manage budget and logistics of all owned projects.
- Other tasks as assigned.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCE:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Arts, Information Management or related field
- At least 3 years’ experience in a Knowledge Management position
- Excellent writing skill in Thai
- Good-Excellent writing skill in English
- Self-motivated, good organizational skills, detail-oriented, multi-tasks
- Project management, creative problem solving and presentation skills
- High proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Offices (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), internet and social media.
