Background/IRC Summary:
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises, helping to restore health, safety, education, economic wellbeing, and power to people devastated by conflict and disaster. Founded in 1933 at the call of Albert Einstein, the IRC is at work in over 40 countries and 26 U.S. cities helping people to survive, reclaim control of their future, and strengthen their communities. The IRC has been operating in Thailand since 1975 and currently provides assistance to displaced persons in Tak, Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi, and Mae Hong Son provinces.
Job Overview/Summary:
As a member of the IRC Thailand Programs Unit, the Project Manager will report to the Project Coordinator, while working closely with other members of the Programs Unit team. The incumbent will primarily be responsible for providing programmatic and grants administration and management support to IRC’s Project for Local Empowerment (PLE), working in close coordination with the Project Coordinator and program staff across all field sites. The incumbent will also be required to support the Programs Unit with other tasks as assigned, including regular reporting to the Ministry of Interior (MOI) and facilitation of other program activities in the field, such as trainings and workshops.
The incumbent’s main objectives will be to ensure that: (i) the PLE project is efficiently administered and managed, with oversight from the Project Coordinator; (ii) project activities are on track to meet their targets; (iii) activities are fully compliant with donor regulations.

Working Environment:
The position is a NATIONAL post and will be based in the IRC office in Bangkok, with travel to the Thailand-Myanmar border area as required.
