Job Title: Project Assistant
Location: Bangkok, foreseen missions in Samut Sakhon, Samut Prakan, Rayong, Trat.
Availability: as soon as possible
Duration: 6 months renewable

GVC- Civil Volunteer Group, is a non-governmental, secular, and independent organization, founded in Bologna in 1971. We are active in international development aid projects with complex action strategies: from humanitarian aid to populations suffering from conflicts and natural disasters to reconstruction, hygiene, and food security; from rural development to education, to the protection of women's and children's rights.
In over forty years of activity, GVC has operated in all parts of the world, carrying out thousands of projects. We collaborate with public institutions, cultural associations, cooperatives, and Italian and European NGOs, organizing seminars, conferences, exhibits and festivals, laboratories in school and training courses for teachers. We produce educational materials and carry out communication activities on sensitive issues such as differences, human rights, women's issues, sustainable trade, and biodiversity.
Context:
Under the direct supervision of the “Mig-Right” Project Manager, the successful candidate will contribute to the implementation of GVC activities in Thailand.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the successful development of capacity building activities.
- Entertain relationship with GVC’s partners.
- Assist Project Manager in organizing activities and training, organization which includes but not limited to drafting letter of invitations, liaise with training venues, trainers, translating and printing training materials and other tasks assigned by Project Manager.
- Assist project Manager in preparing for and attending meetings and conferences, including preparation of presentations, drafting or meetings notes, taking minutes, preparation of agenda and logistics.
- Assist in researching and compiling information on Thailand’s National laws.
- Operational support in terms of administrative issues, eg. Travels, authorization, purchase requisition, payment request.
- Assist in editing, drafting correspondence (in English and Thai) and provide translation of documents and other communication/materials required.
Required competencies:
-University degree in the field of social sciences or related.
- Working experience in NGO
- Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge and experience in project implementation and managing people.
-Experience in working with partners, CSO or public authorities.
-Active listening
- Excellent level of spoken and written English and Thai.
-Computer literate
