Job Summary:
Reporting to either the Executive Director and/or the Chief Operating Officer, the Fundraising Director’s key responsibility is to ensure a cost effective, ethical and sustainable fundraising base to meet the needs of Greenpeace Southeast Asia.
The Fundraising Director is responsible for delivering a highly ambitious three year fundraising strategy which includes, doubling net and gross income over the next three years, diversifying both acquisition and supporter relationships and delivering over 150,000 active supporters by the end of 2020.
Key elements of the strategy will include:
To achieve all of this the Fundraising Director will lead and develop a team of 45 fundraising staff (with a team of over 200 on-street fundraisers) spread across Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines.
As a director-level member of GPSEA’s management, the Fundraising Director is expected to contribute to the overall strategic management of the organization.
The position requires extensive travel in the region as well as other part of the world. A certain level of public appearance may also be required as part of marketing and brand awareness activities of the office.
Essential to the role is a minimum of ten years’ expertise and knowledge in international fundraising or marketing and sales including three years proven senior management experience. An academic qualification in fundraising, marketing or communications is preferable.
This is a full-time position based in Southeast Asia, with an initial 2year contract.

Field of Study: Academic qualification in fundraising or marketing or communication or another relevant university degree or extensive professional experience
Work Experience: At least 10 years of professional experience with demonstrated results in developing and executing diverse fundraising or marketing strategies
Minimum of three years proven management experience working with teams of various skills, levels and languages and in different geographical locations.
Experience in a charity or Non-for-Profit environment highly desirable

THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE APPLYING TO THIS POST
WORKING HOURS
Normal hours of work for full time Employee will be forty (40) per week or (5) days in a week, at 8 hours per day excluding an hour lunch break. This will be from Monday to Friday, between the hours of 8:30 am to 6: 30 pm. Ordinary hours of work may be varied as agreed between staff and the line managers.
LEAVE
A permanent employee will be entitled to the following leaves:
Annual Leave: 20 days
Sick Leave: 30 days
Parental Leave: 10days
Maternity Leave: as per government rules and regulations and Greenpeace policy
Long Service Leave: 2 months paid leave after 5 years of continuous service
Compassionate leave: maximum of 5 days for the death of significant others

In determining salary offer for this position, Greenpeace applies its Salary Grading Process, taking into consideration the job description and applicant’s previous experience, and the organization’s salary grade.
