EMPLOYMENT OFFER – Social Advisor / Field Coordinator – Chiang Mai

Baan Dek Foundation is a non-profit, non-political and non-religious, organization based in Chiang Mai that supports over 1000 children in need and their families living in construction sites and slums. Through specifically tailored educational programs and flexible individual support, Baan Dek protects endangered children, allows families to becoming self-sustainable and gives opportunities for a better future.

Responsibilities of the advertised positions:

                                                                               
Baan Dek Foundation is currently looking for professional and dedicated local Social Advisor / Field Coordinator who would like to get committed to vulnerable children and communities living in the area of Chiang Mai. The Social Project coordinator will work under direct supervision of the General Manager in Chiang Mai.

The main objective of Baan Dek Foundation's team of social workers is to help vulnerable children and their families to solve social and economic issues in daily life, allowing the families to reach sustainability and ensuring every child access to Education, Health and Safety the well-being of their kids.

Role and responsibilities include - but are not restricted to:

1. Conduct in individual case management (involving a team of 6 social workers)
2. Social counseling to the children and their families and implementation of support plan through social work activities;
3. Preparation and coordination of field activities (life skills);
4. Run on field collective educational activities;
5. Monitoring and reporting on social work activities;
6. Identify and develop partnerships with relevant local partners (schools, medical centers, social services, etc.)

Required skills:

Nationality: Thai or South East Asia nationals

Age: preferably graduates with experience in the field of project coordination / social work / educational activity coordination / early childhood development.

Training: Degree or experience in relevant field (social work, special education, health, psychology,...)

Language skills: Fluent Thai (spoken and written) and English proficient speaking and writing skills. Burmese and / or Tha-Yai (spoken and written) considered as important assets.

Other skills/interests: committed to social work/child welfare, dedication for non-profit work, communication and human relations skills, teamwork ability, flexibility on working hours, tolerance & human values, highly motivated, positive energy & spirit, ability to work autonomously, ability to understand family situation and conduct assessments.

Experience to work as Social worker / Project coordinator / teacher / animator with children, mother and baby / toddler considered as an asset.

Working hours: Full time - Monday to Friday (full-time position, flexible schedule) + occasionally on weekend + evenings

Salary: Starting 13.000 THB (To be defined based on experience and qualifications. Complementary advantages provided (food, transportation & phone allowance, etc.)
