Role:
Logistics is SOS’s approach in connecting food donors and recipients, making sure surplus food reach the hands of people in need. In a near future, the concept will also include food bank’s logistics. SOS Operation in Thailand has been steadily growing for the past three years and it has now reached the point where it needs more elaborate management for our fleet.
This is where Logistics Manager comes in. Logistics Manager will continuously communicate and coordinate between drivers, food donors and recipients while keep log on the operation. The role includes maintaining and expanding different aspects of SOS Operation on the road.
Tasks and responsibilities
• Develop schedules in order to ensure food rescue operation and delivery is optimized.
• Coordinate between donors, drivers and recipients to make sure pick-up, delivery, and distribution are in order.
• Keep monitor of food rescue operation and delivery and raise foreseen issues to team members accordingly.
• Analyze, calculate and implement storage for food donation in optimal level.
• Develop and maintain SOS vehicles management to ensure smooth and safe working environment.
• Communicate and coordinate between drivers and all other team members.
• Keep track of driver’s feedback and communication – verbal, voicemail, text, WhatsApp.
• Ensure driver team is filling in and handing in all documents in a timely manner
• Work with Food Safety Manager to develop and maintain hygiene standards through the entire operation.
• Plan for and manage vehicle maintenance.
Qualifications :
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or other related disciplines
• 5 years or more of relevant experience in production planning, supply planning or raw material planning
• Outstanding leadership capabilities, ability to communicate a compelling vision for the supply management organization, and ability to drive results while developing a strong team
• A demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally
• Fluency in Thai and English
• Ability to work in a fast pace, results-oriented environment under minimal supervision
• Comfortable with field data collecting
• Microsoft Proficient
• Ability to work with community
• Thai Nationality only
Reports To: Country Manager
Key Relationships:
Internal: Operations Manager and SOS team in Bangkok and a driver
External: Food Donors, Recipient Communities, Strategic Partners, Stakeholders, and Service Providers
Work Time:
• 40 hours a week, must be able to work some evenings and weekends.
• 10 days’ Vacation and 14 public holidays.
• Probation period of 90 days.
Compensation:
Negotiable based on experience.
Health coverage after probation period of 90 days.
