Job Description
Kenan seeks a short-term consultant to work with project field staff in the Deep South to identify all information necessary for a complete project implementation handbook to complement content provided in an internally developed draft handbook and revise the handbook (structure, content, use of terminology) to a level of quality consistent with international donor specifications.
The handbook will be in Thai language, with a total length approximately 50 pages including text, images, diagrams, etc. The consultant will be responsible for developing all handbook content (text, images, Annexes etc) ready for final design layout. The design layout ready for printing will not be part of the consultant’s scope of work.

Kenan has been working since 2012 in the Deep South, implementing a project that supports youth to be connectors that bring community members together to build trust and improve relationships within their communities. Kenan is working with a range of stakeholders and is in the process of strengthening networks in the region to sustainably implement Kenan’s model of youth-led community projects after Kenan’s implementation ends. The strategy for sustainability is based on a local mechanism comprising three networks from universities, university student clubs and local community groups, and schools. Partner universities will be trained on using the project model to build their capacity to take the lead in expanding and sustaining the model into the future. To facilitate this process, Kenan has drafted an overview of the project’s overarching principles and approach to implementing the project model, and steps in the project delivery cycle to form the main content for the implementation handbook.

CONSULTANT FEE
The consultant will be paid based on daily rate agreed with Kenan for an estimated total of 30 days, with final number of days negotiated with Kenan.
Consultant will receive per diem based and reimbursement of local transportation expenses in accordance with Kenan’s travel policy for trip to Narathiwat to consult with field implementation team. Kenan will directly pay for consultant flights to Narathiwat and accommodation in accordance with Kenan’s travel policy.
