POSITION TITLE:     Digital Media Content Coordinator

LOCATION: Bangkok,Thailand

 

 

INTRODUCTION:

 

The USAID Thailand Counter Trafficking in Persons (CTIP) project works with communities and champions among government, civil society and the private sector to address the enabling environment for human trafficking and exploitation, empower at-risk populations to safeguard their rights, and strengthen the protection systems for survivors.

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The Digital Content Creator will be part of the USAID Thailand CTIP project and will manage the team’s effort to increase project profile and knowledge on human trafficking in Thailand. They will be responsible for developing a strategic, innovative social media content showcasing the work conducted by the USAID Thailand CTIP, its impact and key performance indicators, and explaining the issue of human trafficking in Thailand from different angles. They will also create offline content such as brochures and presentations, with a focus on graphics and visuals.  

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILIES:

 

  • Research and stay up to date on topics related to migration and human trafficking in Thailand; identify the needs and interests of key audiences
  • Working with staff and partners, create/edit graphics and draft well-structure posts to promote relevant content on social media
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of social media posts relevant to project goals, highlighting accomplishments, general developments in the field and other issues of interest to target audiences (at least three posts weekly)
  • Build Facebook posts that are captivating to migrants, Thai public and organizations working on Trafficking; curate engagement with audiences
  • Link to and development partnerships with relevant sites
  • Create infographics, charts, and photo collages to share on social media, taking full advantage of the latest social media trends, such as periscope, GIFs, and snapchat
  • Manage online analytics and generate monthly report that measures overall impact of social media campaigns taking advantage of tools such as Hootsuite 
  • Develop a social media content calendar that matches posts with special days, such as International Migrants Day, World Day against Trafficking in Persons, Human Rights Day, etc.
  • Develop innovative content to be used on the USAID Thailand CTIP Toolkit including videos and graphics
  • Other tasks as assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • At least four years of professional experience or a post-graduate degree in a related field. 
  • B.A. in communications, international affairs, social science or related field
  • Exemplary written and oral communication skills in English and Thai
  • Excellent knowledge of social media tools and applications 
  • Proven graphic design and editing skills
  • Experienced in producing digital content for non-profit organizations
  • Experience developing content that is sensitive to the issues of human rights, social inclusion and relevant topics preferred

 

SKILLS:

 

  • Ability to work independently without requiring detailed guidance.
  • Strong time management skills, ability to design, implement and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and operate on tight deadlines
  • Ability to experiment and cultivate the creative ideas to achieve objectives. Enjoys the challenge of unfamiliar opportunities.
