The Organization
ActionAid is an international organisation, working with over 25 million people in more than 40 countries for a world free from poverty and injustice. ActionAid Thailand (AAT) is part of the ActionAid International Federation and has been working with people and communities in Thailand for a decade addressing issues related to poverty, human rights, education, and women’s and youth’s empowerment.
ActionAid Thailand is expanding its operations and looking for highly skills and motivated Thai nationals with good English communication skills to fill the following positions:
Finance Manager
The position exists to ensure the financial, management and legal integrity of ActionAid Thailand (AAT) within the framework of policies and procedures established internationally, and that requirements of local and international laws are adhered to and complied with. The position is also to provide strategic financial management direction of AAT to ensure that AAT overall strategic objectives are met, and that there is continual improvement in monitoring, control and reporting of expenditure of partner NGOs of funds given by ActionAid International (AAI). The overall of responsible area are Financial Accounting and Reporting, Management Accounting, Finance and Financial Planning, Taxation, and Audit and Assurance
Qualification & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in finance and Accounting Management is required. Master’s degree or Professional Accounting or Financial Management Qualification such as ACCA, CPA are preferable
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience , of which 3 years must be in the position of senior financial and/or accounting management in International Non-Profit Organization Sector (INGO)
Proven experience in analysing financial reports and plans, and drawing insight for use by management and different donors
Proven experience in developing, implementing and monitoring finance and administration policy, systems and procedures
Familiar with development and human right issues in the country
Thorough understanding of international finance and accounting systems
Knowledge of and/or experience of the Not-For-Profit, NGO and/or Development sectors
Very good knowledge of computerised accounting packages, MS Excel. Knowledge of databases and SUN system is an advantage
Leadership and management
Strategic thinking
Financial reporting, analysis and management
Excellent analytical and risk management skills
Planning, organisation, time management, and coordination
effectiveness evaluation is an advantage
Experience in writing M&E report and research report with good writing skills in both Thai and English
English proficiency in both speaking and writing
Ability to travel within Thailand
