We are looking for

International Humanitarian Law Interns,

based in the Regional Delegation in Bangkok, 2 positions
(1 position from April - June and 1 position from June -August 2020)

The Internship program is open for university students who are interested in International Humanitarian Law and would like to experience working in an international organization. The internship is available at the ICRC Regional Delegation in Bangkok between June and August 2020. The intern will conduct legal research on subjects agreed upon by the regional delegation and will have to present a research paper at the end of the program. Apart from conducting a research, the intern will also be expected to support the operation at the regional delegation.

Main responsibilities

• To conduct a research in International Humanitarian Law;
• To Help in organizing IHL events
• To support the operation at the delegation when required;
• Other tasks which may be assigned by the supervisor.

Education and experience

The eligible candidate should be a law student:

• who completed the Public International Law course in the curriculum and has at least a basic knowledge of International Humanitarian Law; and
• who has some experience in research.

Profile

• Good command of English and Thai;
• Interested in international issues, having a strong passion in humanitarian issue is a plus;
• Active, easy-going, and eager to learn.
