Position Title: Graphic Designer, USAID/RDMA Regional Communications Support Platform

Reporting to: Communications/Project/IDIQ Manager

FHI 360 is pursuing an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with USAID/Regional Development Mission for Asia (RDMA) under USAID/RDMA Regional Communications Support Platform Activity. The contract will provide a wide range of public outreach and communications services to the mission and clients in Asia. These services are expected to raise awareness about the development challenges the people of Asia face and encourage support from the government, civil society, and private sector partners to address these challenges alongside USAID.

This position is contingent upon award of the IDIQ, with a five-year ordering period. The position would ideally be based in Bangkok or Asia, though other locations are possible provided the candidate is available during USAID/RDMA Bangkok working hours and can remotely work on undertaking task order activities.

SCOPE OF WORK

The Graphic Designer will work closely with the Communications Manager or Project Manager and/or the Social Media Manager to create and design various materials for print and digital collateral. S/he will need to become familiar with USAID Graphic Standards Manual and Partner Co-Branding Guide to ensure the design of each product adheres to USAID’s branding and marking requirements. Graphic Designer will design and develop a wide range of print and digital communication materials aligning with the Mission’s topline outreach and communications goals of advancing USAID’s messaging to key audiences across Asia.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Develop print collateral such as social media communication materials, outreach graphics, newsletters, publications, brochures, covers, reports, information graphics, maps, posters, modules and manuals, curricula
2. Prepare mechanicals and print-ready files Web/Interactive Design
3. Work with Communication Manager to propose innovative approaches to various communications/design materials

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Bachelor's Degree or higher in design related field with minimum 3-4 years of relevant working experience.
2. Experience in international development/social change design is preferred
3. Have strong background in print design, demonstrate an impeccable sense of typography and information design
4. Must display a strong concept-driven portfolio and exhibit a solid understanding of design principles, knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, and print and have abilities to effectively communicate ideas and messages through visuals.
5. Fluent in Adobe Creative Suite
6. Good communication skills in both verbal and written in English
7. Ability to manage multiple tasks and achieve deadlines.
8. Available on call for task order activity.
