Position Title: Videographer, USAID/RDMA Regional Communications Support Platform

Type: National

Location: Bangkok, Thailand

Reporting to: Communications/Project Manager/IDIQ Manager

 


FHI 360 is pursuing an Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with USAID/Regional Development Mission for Asia (RDMA) under USAID/RDMA Regional Communications Support Platform Activity. The contract will provide a wide range of public outreach and communications services to the mission and clients in Asia. These services are expected to raise awareness about the development challenges the people of Asia face and encourage support from the government, civil society, and private sector partners to address these challenges alongside USAID.

 

This position is contingent upon award of the IDIQ, with a five-year ordering period. The position would ideally be based in Bangkok or Asia, though other locations are possible provided the candidate is available during USAID/RDMA Bangkok working hours and can remotely work on undertaking task order activities.

 


SCOPE OF WORK

The Videographer supports and leads digital and video communication initiatives. The Videographer will be responsible for shooting and editing video footage. The position creates special effects or other visual images using film, digital, video, computers, or other electronic tools and media for use in company programs/ projects. The videographer will manage the video production studio and will be responsible for shooting and editing video footage.  S/he will work with the Communications Manager or Project Manager to execute a variety of videography assignments, including on-location, studio, interview, or event shoots. S/he will maintain quality control and a consistent look and feel throughout production of video assignments. The Videographer will need to become familiar with USAID Graphic Standards Manual and Partner Co-Branding Guide to ensure the production of each assignment adheres to USAID’s branding and marking requirements.

 


RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Collaborates with functional areas on visual requirements of the production.
  2. Coordinates and arranges lighting, shooting angles, placement of audio equipment based on requirements.
  3. Serves as creative liaison to technical production staff.
  4. Works with the Communications Manager or Project Manager to execute a variety of videography assignments, including on-location, studio, interview, or event shoots.
  5. Participates in the design and production of company marketing and assists with production coordination, background design and other media related projects.
  6. Maintains quality control and a consistent look and feel throughout production of video assignments.
  7. Edits and assembles final visual/audio program material for release. Monitors the technical quality of the finished product to ensure compliance, consistency, and desired outcome for the company.
  8. Tests all equipment to determine technical quality of recording, audio and lighting prior to production.
  9. Oversees the security, operation and maintenance of equipment utilized in production and editing of material.
  10. Manages Production Studio and production equipment.

 


QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor’s degree or its international equivalent in Radio/TV, Film, Fine Arts or related field.
  2. Master’s degree or its international equivalent in Radio/TV, Film, Fine Arts or related field.
  3. Must have 2-5 years of experience with operating filming and editing equipment
  4. Must have experience as a videographer with thorough technical knowledge to be able to operate, configure, set up and fix video, audio, lighting, or other production equipment. Must be familiar with the equipment and able to troubleshoot problems.
  5. Must have a thorough knowledge in digital post production software to be able to edit raw footage, insert subtitles and closed captioning in compliance with Section 508, graphics, other on-screen text, and special effects into a video.
  6. Prior work experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO) preferred.
