CTP MEAL Assistant
Background
Save the Children International in Thailand launches a flood response in the Deep South Region of Thailand in January 2021. The main intervention is Cash Transfer Programme to 250 flood-affected households in Yala province, working with a local partner, Luukrieang.
In order to ensure quality and accessibility of the Complaint and Response Mechanism (CRM), sharing information with target communities and beneficiaries, and timely monitoring of impacts (e.g. post distribution monitoring), Save the Children International is looking for a MEAL Assistant to be based in Yala (or Pattani) to support the MEAL team in the Pattani Field base to set up the CRM in target communities, receiving and managing feedback from beneficiaries and other stakeholders, providing inputs to the accountability report, and participating in the post-monitoring distribution and reporting.
Objectives and Deliverables

Provide support to MEAL officer on Cash Transfer Programme (CTP)
Key Actions;
- Support MEAL officer in developing accountability info sheet for the CTP project, including drafting of key messages and ensure that the project information is tailored to the diverse profiles of the beneficiaries.
- Support MEAL officer to set up CRM in the target communities which may include more than one mechanism, for example, hotline and face-to-face feedback (house visit).
- Collect and/or receive feedbacks from beneficiaries, community members, and/or other stakeholders; and manage feedback log and database.
- Work with programme team to address the issues raised by the beneficiaries and other stakeholders and provide feedback to the beneficiaries in a timely manner.
- Compile feedbacks received and produced regular accountability report to inform any necessary changes in the programme as well as the CRMs
- Participate in the design and conduction of the post-distribution monitoring.
- Prepare and update output tracker for the flood response to Communications team and Programme team for reporting (e.g. SitRep, Humanitarian Fund reporting)
- Support the MEAL officer to conduct learning workshop on the Thai flood response

1 April to 30 June 2021 (20 to maximum 25 working days/months)
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- 1-2 year experience in project monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning with local civil society and/or international NGO
- Thai national only and ability to speak, read, and write Thai and MELAYU well
- Communication skills (written and verbal) in Thai and English and adequate computer skills
- Able to travel independently within districts range coverage and being familiar with community
- Proven data management skill and ability
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadline
- Ability to work independently with limit supervision and use initiative
