Freelance Social Research Moderator
Rapid Asia is an independent social research consultancy based in Bangkok. We carry out social research and program evaluations across a number of thematic areas including migration, human rights, wildlife conservation, health, climate change, education etc. Our clients include donors, UN agencies and international aid and development organizations. Rapid Asia has carried out projects in over 30 countries across Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe, Middle-East and South/Central America. We take a regional approach to our work and have developed tools and indicators that can be used across borders.
Due to our continued growth and expanding workload, we are looking for 4-5 Thai nationals who can do focus group discussions (FGDs), In-Dept Interviews (IDIs) and Key Informant Interviews (KIIs). This will be a freelance position to support the project team on an ongoing project. The work will be on a contract basis. Work could be carried out in any province in Thailand, not just Bangkok. It will be possible to organize the work from home but meetings with the Project Manager be required for briefings and training.
Job Responsibilities:
Participate in briefings and training
Recruit respondents
Conduct FGDs, IDIs and KIIs
Deliver regular progress reports
Ability to work independently and with some level flexibility
Prepare quality interview summaries in English
Requirements:
Thai national
Experience with moderating FGDs, IDIs and KIIs
Pleasant personality
Active listener
Strong work ethics and attention to detail
Willing to conduct work anywhere in Thailand
Ability to communicate in English
Experience with social research is seen as an advantage
