Position title: Digital Campaigner (Corporate Accountability)
Position type: full-time, fixed-term consultant contract for 12 months, with possibility to renew
Location: flexible/home-based between GMT +5 to +11

Cuttlefish Digital is a start-up digital communications agency. We develop and deliver creative digital campaigns for clients focusing on climate action and energy transition in the Asia Pacific region. As part of a global network of more than 300 communicators, researchers, marketers, and advocacy strategists, we work with non-profit and purpose-driven organisations to campaign for climate action and clean energy.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced digital campaigner with a background in corporate accountability or climate change campaigning to support Action Speaks Louder, an Australia-based advocacy NGO that aims to pressure major companies in the fashion, auto, tech, and gas-appliance industries to take stronger action on climate change. The Action Speaks Louder team is global, with staff in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, and Europe.
In this role you will:
Work with sector policy leads on campaign strategy and create digital supporter communications and mobilization actions.
Create written and visual campaign content for the Action Speaks Louder website and social media channels, working with our Content Creator, Digital Project Manager, and network colleagues
Write, edit, test, send, and evaluate campaign emails to grow and activate the Action Speaks Louder supporter base around the world.
Undertake audience and market research activities to help inform the development of campaigns engaging key stakeholders and communities.
Contribute to the development of an international audience engagement and campaign strategy
Implement a lead generation and supporter journey strategy to increase the size and engagement of our supporter base.
Undertake some admin duties including coordinating project team meetings, budget tracking, reporting, Google Drive management, and other tasks as required.
The role reports to the Digital Project Manager, Action Speaks Louder.
ABOUT YOU
Skills and experience profile:
3-5 years experience in a digital campaigning role, ideally in a supporter-based organisation or environment.
A strategic thinker with a solid understanding of how advocacy and public mobilisation contribute to corporate accountability.
Strong proficiency in Wordpress. Knowledge of CSS,HTML or other programming languages is a plus but not required.
Expertise in managing and best practices for large email lists using an enterprise-level CRM such as Action Network, Control Shift Labs, etc.
Proficiency in graphic design tools, such as Canva or Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop.
Experience in developing and implementing plans to recruit and engage new and existing supporters on campaigns.
A talented writer in English, especially for emails and landing pages, and excellent proofreading and editing skills.
Able to write about complex environmental problems in clear and concise language.
A passion to use your skills to drive climate action.
Familiarity with international movement building and sociocultural contexts of Asia campaigns.
Comfortable working remotely with a global team.
Fluency in English is essential. Proficiency in an Asian language would be an advantage but not essential for this role.
Please note this is a home-based position. We are not able to offer sponsorship for a business visa or work permit at this time.
We can offer you a 12-month, fixed term contract (including a 3 month probationary period) with a possibility of extending contingent on funding and performance
