Background

Doctors without Borders Thailand (DWBT) is a Thai company working to increase access to mental health services in Thailand. DWBT is neutral, impartial, and is solely medical in nature with no religious, political, or human rights objectives. DWBT has started a project to primarily provide mental health services for those who need in the deep south of Thailand including basic mental health and an appropriate system of referral where needed. The project is based in deep south.

Main Purpose

Performing professional translation activities on mental health issues according to DWBT protocols, standards, procedures, and core values.

Main Responsibilities

• Performing professional oral and written translation both simultaneous and consecutive translations on medical and mental health issues in Thai and English.
• Participating in relevant meetings, both off-line and online.
• Upholding DWBT’s core principles, values, quality standards, and Code of Conduct, including medical confidentiality.
• Performing other tasks assigned by supervisor

Requirements

Education

Bachelor degree in English, linguistics and other related fields

Experience

1-2 years of working experience

Fresh graduates are also welcome

Languages                      

Essential spoken & written Thai, English

Melayu will be asset

Knowledge

Good computer skills (MS word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
