Project Coordinator

The role
Applications are welcomed for a Network Co-Ordinator to oversee MORU’s multi-country network collaborations for the “Collaboration for Research, Implementation and Training in Critical Care in Asia and Africa (CCAA)” project.
MORU is a research network which is a partnership between Mahidol University, the Wellcome Trust and the University of Oxford. The network conducts patient-centered clinical research and seeks to provide answers to important public health questions by developing vaccines. The network also investigates how health policies can be developed to maximise the impact of its research outcomes. The network also has units in Myanmar, Cambodia and Laos.
CCAA is a Wellcome funded project that aims to improve the quality of care for critically ill patients in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) through the systematic collection of relevant data in an electronic registry in a large newly established international network of intensive care units (ICUs) in Asia and Africa, through quantitative and qualitative evaluation of care feeding into targeted quality improvement initiatives and through supporting clinical research in the network.
Responsibilities
You will:
Co-ordinate the operations of the CCAA project which is an international multi-site, multi-partner scientific research project.
➢ Set-up and implementation
• Financial: grant set up including overall and distribution to individual sites
• Site contracts and data sharing agreements: coordinate signature and implementation of requirement agreements and due diligence between Oxford and the study partners
➢ Communications
• Be Primary point of contact for collaborator sites with regard to all administrative and financial issues.
➢ Financial Monitoring
• Ensure compliance with terms and condition of grant contract
• Track charging to ensure that expenditure is audit-proof
• Co-ordination with Principal investigator and Co-applicant Investigators to ensure payments are approved by the Project Management Group (PMG)
• Financial reporting
• Milestone reporting
• Project troubleshooting
• Document control
➢ Manage engagement with international partners and stakeholders (circa 30collaborators)
➢ Contribute to the development and implementation of the project’s operational strategy
Selection criteria
Essential
• Postgraduate degree
• Significant experience in project management
• Experience working in resource limited settings
• Willing to travel internationally
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Strong communication and diplomacy skills and experience working with a variety of stakeholders
Desirable
• Experience in medical sciences research projects
Terms & conditions
The post is based in Bangkok at the Mahidol Oxford Research unit (https://www.tropmedres.ac/).
The salary will be based on MORU scales and will depend on experience and qualifications.
The salary package includes:
o 13th months of salary

o 20 days of annual leave
