POSITION TITLE: Gender Equality & Social Inclusion (GESI) Specialist, USAID Asia CTIP Program
LOCATION: Bangkok, Thailand
DEPARTMENT: Human Rights, Education, and Empowerment
REPORTS TO: Chief of Party, USAID Asia CTIP Program
STATUS: Full-time, 1 year (depending on the availability of fund)

POSITION SUMMARY:
Winrock International is recruiting applicants for the Gender Equality & Social Inclusion (GESI) Officer position for the USAID Asia Trafficking in Persons (CTIP) project. The USAID Asia CTIP program is a seven-year regional initiative aimed at addressing human trafficking risks, providing appropriate responses that transcend borders, and protecting the rights of vulnerable and trafficked persons. The USAID Asia CTIP program is implemented by Winrock International. The program addresses human trafficking in Asia through activities conducted under three components: Force Multiplier 1 (FM1): Strengthening learning around trafficking in persons and interventions; Force Multiplier 2 (FM2): Improving coordination and cooperation between source, transit and destination countries; and Force Multiplier 3 (FM3): Leveraging private sector engagement to reduce trafficking in persons in target sectors.
The GESI Specialist will support the USAID Asia CTIP project to technical program staff to integrate gender and inclusion of marginalized groups in the Asia region and ensure that gender-responsive strategies and actions are developed and implemented. The GESI Specialist will work with the previously developed GESI Framework and GESI Toolkit developed by USAID Asia CTIP and all FMs by identifying and addressing barriers faced by marginalized groups, including but not limited to persons with disabilities, ethnic and religious minorities, and LGBTQ+ individuals. S/he will work together with the team members to develop strategies and guidelines to mitigate social discrimination and lead the efforts to mainstream gender considerations throughout the USAID Asia CTIP’s activities.
