Purpose of Position
This role will lead the effective performance and capability building of the Private Funding and within WVFT's Resource Development office. The role will drive the development and implementation of the Division strategy with the aim of establishing WVFT as the part of choice for middle, major donors/ high networth individuals, corporates, embassies, trusts and foundations in giving to deepen impact for the wellbeing of children in Thailand. Working closely with other Resource Development teams, this role will lead efforts to identify potential donors, build relationships and journey, acquire and retain their support to positively impact on child wellbeing and help them to fulfill their passions, priorities and interests.
Major Responsibilities
Strategy and planning 30%
- Contribute to development and implementation of WVFT Resource Development strategy and effectiveness of the Resource Development office management team
- Lead development and implementation of Division strategy
- Facilitate Division annual business planning, implementation and reporting
- Contribute to the effectiveness of WVFT's Senior Leadership Team, modelling strong collaboration and continuous improvement
Networking and relationship building 20%
- Seek and make effective use of opportunities/events to build corporate contacts and networks
- Ensure the Division develops, maintains and utilizes a data-base of corporate/foundation/trust partners
- Use of new technology in identifying news leads
Operations: Lead/oversee activities to: 40%
- research and identify prospective donors; corporates, Major Donors, HNWI, trusts, foundations
- ensure relevant due diligence process for working with prospective partners
- collaborate with Grants team for corporate grant proposal development
- maintain and strengthen ongoing donor relationships
- ensure regular communication, reports for donors which share and demonstrate evidence of impact of WV programs and donor support
- manage donation box
Division capability and performance: 10%
Provide appropriate leadership and technical direction & support to ensure:
- Division is staffed with right mix of competencies
- Individual and team plans align with Division plans
- Staff continously seek to improve business processes and innovate
- Staff are partnered with to achieve performance, development and wellbeing goals
- Technical mentoring, coaching and training provided
- Staff can live out WVFT's core values
Knowledge Skill and Abilities
1. Possess at least 7 years experiences in marketing management, fundraising, or marketing communications area or tasks related to these.
2. At least 5 years in a top management position with over 10-15 supporters
3. Experience working with NGO is preferred
4. Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Marketing Communications, Management, or Business Administration with Master degree is preferred
5. Excellent command of Thai and English
