Job description – The Freedom Story

Job position: Multilingual Program Officer in the Project to Promote and Support Migrant Women Leaders to Prevent Trafficking in CR (เจ้าหน้าที่โครงการส่งเสริมและสนับสนุนผู้นำสตรีอพยพเพื่อป้องกันการค้ามนุษย์ใน จ.เชียงราย)

1. Age: 25-35 years.
2. Education: a bachelor’s degree in social sciences, political science, law, humanities, or related fields.
3. Good command in English (Speaking, Writing and Reading) *Understanding the Burmese language will be given special consideration.
4. Have a strong desire to create positive change and contribute to the fight for equal rights for all humans.
5. Can serve as a lecturer or organize training activities to help migrant workers efficiently.
6. Capable of coordinating between employees and various government and private agencies.
7. Have at least one year of experience in project administration and management.
8. At least one year of experience working with labor law, migrant laborers, or foreign workers.
9. Have knowledge of case management, be adaptable, strong, patient, and truthful.
10. Capable of operating independently.
11. Capable of adapting effectively to all groupings.
12. Professionally organize work schedule and be able to work overtime.
13. Have a valid driver's license and own a vehicle.
14. Work-ready immediately.

Key responsibilities:

1. Visiting the area to study and inspect the problems, as well as engage with the official departments to identify solutions and assist in the preparation of legal documents.
2. Contact and coordinate matters concerning migrant workers at risk of human trafficking with government and private agencies, ensuring that target groups have access to fundamental rights and government services by coordinating requests for assistance from the public and private sectors.
3. Identify a new target region, build a stronger relationship, and follow-up on results in order to reach the targeted migrant worker groups in the Chiang Rai area.
4. Design and conduct training programs to give knowledge and increase awareness for migrant workers in Chiang Rai province who are at danger of human trafficking.
5. Create and organize events to develop and increase the capacity of new leaders to carry out work on preventing human trafficking, human rights, and safeguarding their own rights, as well as measurable friends and community members.
6. Design and produce video medias and documents to aid the target audience's learning.
7. Create and arrange learning events to improve the network of migrant workers in the area.
8. Take care and encourage the target audience to form a leading group to achieve the goals.
9. Plan and document data collection, follow up outcomes, and report results, and transmit them to the project manager and funding source in English.
10. Other responsibilities relating to the target group.

Employment contract: 1^st October 2023 – 1^st December 2025 (27 months or 2 years, 3 months)

Salary: 20,000 THB. / Month
