JOB PURPOSE

The role is part of the Global Sustainability team, sitting within the Sustainable Supply Chain unit. The role reports into the Sustainable Sourcing Manager, based in the UK and will play a key role in ensuring Reckitt achieves its ambition to ensure our Durex brand has a sustainable source of natural latex for the long term.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Oversight of the delivery of the Reckitt funded latex programme in Southern Thailand, an established programme with 800+ farmers focused on improving latex quality, yield, incomes and bio-diversity delivered by the Earthworm Foundation
  • Working collaboratively with EF to identify annual programme activities/budgets
  • Accountability for delivery on time and in budget
  • Stakeholder engagement with key stakeholders including Earthworm, farmer association, Fair Rubber Association
  • Delivery of project with Oxford University measuring our impact on bio-diversity, in collaboration with EF
• Development of a new farmer focused programme in Southern Thailand focused on quality, incomes, bio-diversity identifying key activities with the farmer association, and identifying potential NGO partners to deliver any interventions
• Facilitate the accreditation of Reckitt’s latex supply chain to the Fair Rubber Association standard (Thailand, India, Malaysia) ensuring the supply chain is accredited in line with procurement future sourcing plans, and in a way that brings maximum benefit to latex farmers for the long term
• Work with the Reckitt finance team to pay Reckitt suppliers the Fair Rubber Association premium monthly

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

• In depth knowledge and experience of working with small holder farmer supply chains
• Track record of robust programme design/delivery
• Track record of effective project management
• Knowledge of latex desirable, but not essential
• Knowledge of relevant topics such as living income, alternative livelihoods, bio-diversity and carbon desirable
• Have excellent communications skills, both written and verbal (English & Thai), with the ability to adapt communications to various audiences
