Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Manager – Chiang Mai, Thailand

The Opportunity

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) requires implementing partner support to establish and manage the Community Resilience Program (CRP). This program is based in Chiang Mai, Thailand to support activities that will sustain and strengthen community resilience in the region.

This is a full-time position based in Chiang Mai.  

About the Role

CRP seeks an ICT Manager to play a key role in coordinating and overseeing all ICT services for the CRP programme in the region, ensuring that IT systems and network administration are operational, highly secure with no outages and information security is taken seriously by all programme team members.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of the secure Installation, configuration, maintenance, support and optimisation of all network, software and communication links
• Ensuring the latest IT security is installed on all devices
• Provide training on CRP IT systems and digital security
• Support the development of secure data management and communication tools and protocols
• Coordinate with local entities to ensure information security tools are in place and that local entities demonstrate the capacity to adhere to information security protocols
• Support adherence to information security protocols as necessary
• Support training to local entities and activity participants on installation and use of information security tools
• Undertake requests for mapping and GPS coordinates
• Supervise the ICT officer

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience at national or international level in ICT technical support
• University degree in a relevant field
• Latest IT systems security experience
• Good knowledge of ICT equipment and systems
• Demonstrated experience in establishing and maintaining digital security protocols
• Experience with digital mapping
• Previous experience with a multilateral or international organization
• Ability to travel within the region
• Verbal fluency in Burmese
• Verbal fluency in Thai
• Verbal fluency in English
