Description
The Policy and Advocacy Team exists to support CARE Asia Regional advocacy work across nine country offices (Nepal, Afghanistan, Vietnam, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and The Philippines). The team works towards advocating and influencing policies for improving the lives of affected communities, with efforts in addressing the gender inequalities of women and girls across the Asia Pacific region. CARE also works to provide effective, efficient, timely, and coordinated support to country offices to strengthen the leadership and empowerment of women and girls in line with our equitable partnership standards and locally led approaches to advocacy and partnership-building. The objectives of the Asia Regional Advocacy are grounded in our organizational strategy, supporting the delivery of strategic imperatives to reach the most vulnerable and to collaborate and advocate for broader impact which we do by building and working through local partners and networks.
