ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND

ADRA is a global network of independent humanitarian organizations established in 1984 by the Seventh Day Adventist Church for the specific purpose of providing individual and community development and disaster relief. ADRA Thailand works with people in poverty and distress to create just and positive change through empowering partnerships and responsible action. ADRA Thailand has served vulnerable and marginalized people in Thailand through community development initiatives targeting Basic and Vocational Education, Statelessness Reduction, Migrant Rights Advocacy, Child Protection. ADRA Thailand’s emergency response initiatives provide aid to disaster survivors and people fleeing active conflict from Myanmar.

JOB OVERVIEW
|
The Project Manager is responsible for the overall operation of the project. To ensure high quality project implementation and supervision of project activities according to the project plan.
|
|
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
|
Leading and Supervising (1.2)
- To ensure proper project staff supervision and support (3 staff); (1.2)
- To ensure supervision of project activities. (1.2)
- To ensure transparent and correct project related financial transactions and recording; (1.2)
- Overall responsibility on project expenditure and budget control; (1.2)
Relating and Networking (3.1)
- To ensure close communication and coordination with relevant stakeholders, such as Thai Authorities, Federation of Thailand Industries, etc. (3.1)
- To represent ADRA in all relevant coordination meetings within the project target area; (3.1)
- Work closely with partnering CSOs to ensure effective cooperation; (3.1)
- Coordinate effectively with other ADRA projects in Mae Sot and with the ADRA Country Office in Chiang Mai. (3.1)
Writing and Reporting (4.1)
- Responsible for quality and timely quarterly, annually, and final project reporting; (4.1)
- Able to analyze and interpret project data and reflect them in the reports; (4.1)
- To report output indicator achievement during quarterly project committees; (4.1)
Analyzing (4.3)
- Able to analyse monitoring and evaluation data to improve project performance; (4.3)
Planning and organizing (6.1)
- Overall responsibility of quality and timely implementation of project activities; (6.1)
- Overall responsibility for development of Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP) and ensuring action and work plans are in place and being followed; (6.1)
- Overall responsibility of all advocacy endeavors and make efforts to advance advocacy goals; (6.1)
- To ensure project implementation according to DIP and to regularly update and revise DIP as needed and appropriate in close communication with the Program Director; (6.1)
- To ensure the project’s Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) system is effective; (6.1)
- To gather relevant baseline data required by the logframe from partners and other sources; (6.1)
- To support external consultants to organize surveys and interviews during the middle term and final evaluations; (6.1)
- To join co-implementing partners’ activities periodically to provide feedback; (6.1)
- To undertake any effort to be frequently and correctly updated on the quick changing situation on migrant workers realities within the project area and adapt work plan to respond to changes; (6.1)
- Assist Program Director planning new projects to support the migrants as needed; (6.1)
- Perform other tasks as required by the Program Director.

- Targets in the project logframe achieved as planned;
- Tasks and responsibilities carried out according to agreed work plans;
- High quality reports produced and submitted to the Program Director in a timely manner;
- Ensure funds are spent in line with the budget;
- ADRA Thailand policies and procedures followed.

QUALIFICATIONS
|
Skills, Experience and Education Qualifications:
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
Experience:
- Familiar with migrant context in the country and in Mae Sot, knowing workplace safety issue is a plus;
- Significant experience in working with migrant issues (at least 2-3 years); experience working with factory managers is an advantage;
- Management and team leading experience (at least 3-4 years).
Language Skills:
- Fluent in English and Thai (written and oral);
- Fluent in spoken Burmese is a plus.
Skills and Abilities:
- Significant experience in working with migrant community;
- Sound computer skills;
- Ability to work under pressure and to cope with multi-tasking;
- Ability to interact in a sensitive and diplomatic way;
- Transparent, organized and responsible work style;
- Team spirit.
