Community Partners International (CPI) is a U.S. nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering vulnerable communities in Asia to meet their essential health, humanitarian and development needs. Founded by U.S. doctors in 1998, the organization has grown to serve more than one million people each year. Community Partners International focuses on helping communities affected by conflict, violence, and displacement, in remote and hard-to-reach contexts, and marginalized by poverty and exclusion.
In response to significant demand for learning and capacity strengthening of local partners, CPI is adapting trainings and knowledge products to promote channels for learning online in local languages. The qualified candidate for this position will have responsibility for coordinating with subject matter experts to assess learning needs; and design, create, deliver, and maintain instructional content in a hybrid learning environment for diverse audiences.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Support the project’s online learning platform
- Support the development of new, high-quality courses, including identifying and working with subject matter experts and local stakeholders that integrate audio and video, job aids, scenarios, and case studies
- Identify existing relevant courses, with a focus on courses available in Myanmar and local ethnic languages, that can be linked to the learning environment of the project’s online platform
- Develop and maintain course templates, standards, and quality assurance procedures for e-learning modules and virtual learning activities
- Create engaging knowledge checks, simulations, and assessments based on learning objectives
- Support and strengthen in-person and online communities of practice for local organizations in southeast Myanmar
- Contribute to capacity assessment and strengthening initiatives for local partners to use technology safely and securely for learning activities
- Establish, strengthen, and sustain good working relationships/coordination with the local implementing partners, and other project stakeholders
- Other tasks as delegated/assigned by the Senior Communications Manager
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in education, public administration, development studies, learning technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in instructional design principles to create engaging and effective adult learning materials and related topics
- Strong content creation and curriculum development skills
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems and the ability to navigate and utilize their features
- Skills in analyzing data to measure the effectiveness of learning content and make data-driven improvements
- Good in written and spoken English and Burmese
- Able to work well in a multicultural setting
- Good team player
