Job Title: Project Coordinator – Trafficking
Location: Bangkok, office based
Supervisor: Project Manager – Trafficking
Contract duration: 3 years, full time
Evident was established in late 2021 with the key goal of supporting better, data-driven programming in the civil society sector. Evident focuses on child protection, child abuse and exploitation, and psychosocial programming. We provide services in research, project management, design and training.
Position Overview
This is a fixed term, full-time position fully linked to project funding. The role will support aspects of a new multi-year consortium project involving research and implementation design that supports LGBTQ+ people vulnerable to sex trafficking in Thailand.
The role will report to the Project Manager supporting the design and hosting of a range of consultations, training workshops and arranging the contextualisation and translation of tools. The role will also include supporting NGO partners with research data collection to test the impact of a range of intervention activities.
The position will also include administrative functions related to the smooth operation of the project for the Thailand-based consortium members including training and consultation event planning and management, some communications and social media. Field-based work outside the office will sometimes be required.
Support the design, delivery and measurement of a counter-trafficking intervention for LGBTQ+ people.
• Under the direction of the Project Manager, support the design of intervention activities.
• Arrange and support the delivery of expert consultations, capacity development workshops and other events.
• Under the direction of the Project Manager, support data collection elements of the project.
Project management, event coordination, donor reporting, communications
• Manage procurement and oversee contractors for range of project activities.
• Procure, manage and review translations of training, research tools and other documents.
• Plan and coordinate events including training sessions and consultation events.
• Provide logistical and administrative support to the Project Manager - Trafficking.
• Develop communications and social media content related to the project.
• Occasionally represent Evident at relevant stakeholder events within Thailand and online.
Person Profile
• Expertise in trafficking programming or similar issues - demonstrated by relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent work experience.
• At least five years demonstrated project management skills, including events, logistics and budget management.
• Experience working with grassroots organisations, and directly with vulnerable populations.
• Experience working with LGBTQ+ organisations a strong advantage.
• Experience with record keeping for donor reporting requirements.
• Demonstrated excellent capacity writing for a range of different audiences.
• Excellent Thai language spoken and written language skills.
• Good English spoken and written language skills.
• Competent with a range of software, including cloud-based collaborative packages and online research tools.
• Experience conducting quantitative and qualitative research is desirable (but not essential).
Travel Requirements
Regular domestic travel (to project sites in Pattaya) and some international travel will be necessary.
Compensation and Benefits
Package details to be provided upon interview, but include competitive salary, health insurance, and potential for professional development. This position is open to Thai or international applicants.
