For a Research assistant, Thai-English interpreter within the HABITABLE Subproject “Gender and social equity"
Project background
Within the scope of a research project on environmental change and human mobility, an assistant for empirical data collection in Chaiyaphum province is required. Financed by the European Union, the project associates 21 partners. In Thailand, the project counts with the Raks Thai Foundation and the Stockholm Environment Institute Asia. About the Position
Working location(s): Chaiyaphum province.
Duration: mid-January to end of February 2024 (5 weeks)
Accommodation/Transport: Transport, food and accommodation during field stay will be covered.
Objectives:
The research project seeks to better understand how gender intersects with other social identities to influence the use of migration as an adaptation strategy to climate change in Chaiyaphum, Thailand.
Empirical research comprises qualtitative methods, in particular semi-structured interviews and focus group discussions. During field research, the assistant will work and live together with the researcher in rural villages Chaiyaphum province.
