Data Entry Person for Baseline Measurement in Safe Schools Project

1. Project Background

Plan International Thailand is proposing Innovation Disaster Management for Safe Schools or shortly Safe Schools: the extension phase of the success of the Chiang Rai model to 3,600 schools across 12 provinces in northern Thailand. The Safe Schools project phase is funded by Prudence Foundation through the support of Plan International Hong Kong for three countries Cambodia, Indonesia, and Thailand from 2022-2025. This will be achieved through three key outcomes: 1.) The development and testing of a CSS platform aimed at facilitating e-learning and CSS certifications. 2.) Building CSS capabilities for the 3,600 schools in the 12 provinces, namely Chiang Rai, Nan, Phrae, Phayao, Chiang Mai, Lampang, Mae Hong Son, Lamphun, Tak, Kamphaeng Phet, Nakhon Sawan, and Phichit. 3.) Enhancing education policies and actions to address the needs of children and youth regarding school safety, including ensuring the CSS platform is prepared for national-scale implementation. In addition, the success of the Chiang Rai model during Safe School Phase 1, in which CSSF was introduced and implemented in only 50 schools in Chiang Rai, has inspired Plan International Thailand to introduce Safe School models and minimum standards to 12 northern provinces through the CSS Platform. This new phase will build upon existing capacities and experience to ensure a successful implementation and the establishment of a 'CSS community of practice' in these provinces. The CSS Platform is a web-based learning and evaluation tool for the Comprehensive School Safety Framework (CSSF), which will be co-designed by Plan International Thailand and a government agency (GO agency). The project aims to engage school teachers from a minimum of 3,600 schools across the 12 provinces, encouraging them to participate in and utilize the platform within their educational institutions.

2. Purpose for the Baseline Measurement

The purpose of the baseline survey is to assess the pre-project situation and capture baseline data on all indicators from the results framework developed by Safe School team, and to monitor and measure over the course of the 3-year intervention. The technical proposal and the baseline report of this study need to be aligned with 1.) three pillars of the Comprehensive School Safety Framework 2022-2030 and 2.) the Safe School indicators.
