Vacancy Announcement

Kindernothilfe (German for “supporting children in need”) is a not-for-profit organization that works to support vulnerable and marginalized children to develop their full potentials.

Our program in Thailand works through the partnership with local non-governmental organizations and their networks. Currently, we have supported “Child-Rights based” projects implementing in Northern Thailand, Shan State in Myanmar and Bokeo in Lao PDR. We promote the long-term sustainable outcomes by empowering children and helping people help themselves to overcome dependencies and to strengthen voices of those marginalized groups.

We are looking for a passionate Programme manager who have the following qualities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Social sciences and Development or other related fields;
  • Strong knowledge and skills in Child Rights Programming and Impacts Orientation;
  • At least five years of experiences in non-profit organizations;
  • Experiences in managing the rights-based approach projects especially for women, children and community development;
  • Ability to coordinate and cooperate with multi-stakeholders in diverse environments;
  • Willingness to travel to remote areas and work at flexible hours

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for overall progress and performances of the KNH funded projects;
  • Monitor, guide and support the partner organizations in regard to project planning, implementation, and impact analysis;
  • Facilitate and support the partner organizations in capacity development;
  • Maintain contact with Government Organizations (GOs), NGOs, and Networks;
  • Coordinate with Finance manager on budget’s planning and financial reporting for KNHT and the partner organizations;
  • Prepare and submit reports and plans in accordance to the KNH requirements and ICC manual.

The Programme manager will report to the Country Manager and will have functional links to the other Program managers/Coordinators in KNH Asia. The based office is in Chiang Mai.

 

Employment: The contract will initially for 12 months and is eligible for the permanent position subject to performance.
