TEAM PURPOSE: Enable transformational change and increase Oxfam’s impact in the Asia region by
ensuring Oxfam’s country offices including country programmes on the affiliation process, clusters and
regional programmes are supported to shape high quality programmes in line with the transition and
can convert the quality of these programmes into learning and knowledge for future programme
designs and new business development opportunities.
Job Purpose
Support Oxfam Asia Regional Platform’s influencing and private sector strategic engagement, on key
value chains including seafood processors and traders headquartered and operational in Asia to
address inequality, reduce poverty, empower women, and increase the resilience of fisherfolk,
workers, small producers, and aquaculture farmers. This position is expected to work closely and
provide support to the team in engagement of the following stakeholders:
(i) Oxfam’s Private Sector and Policy/ Influencing teams in Asia and selected affiliates
(ii) Oxfam’s Seafood Programme cluster, the Ethical and Sustainable Seafood Supply Chain
(iii) Regional and selected national Oxfam’s partners
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Effectively coordinate with partners under the Human rights action plan’s project to manage activity
planning, monitoring, and reporting.
• Manage the planning and implementation of project activities including meetings and events.
• Manage and coordinate consultants and ensure the quality of the assignments.
• Lead on the process of project contracts with internal Oxfam bodies and manage grant making to
partners.
• Manage financial monitoring and ensure the Oxfam procedures and policies are complied.
• Ensure timely submission of financial and narrative reports of the project.
• Work closely with seafood coordinator on outreach and engaging external stakeholders.
• Manage learning and creating knowledge products of all the seafood projects particularly on
human rights due diligence /impact assessment.
• Provide interpretation and translation services for project activities.
• When required visit the project areas in the field and support partners and communities.
• Together with seafood coordinator plan and implement Oxfam country teams and partners
capacity building and learning events.
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES
ESSENTIAL
• At least 3 years of progressively responsible experience working in development, economic justice, inequalities, gender justice, food supply chains, civic movements, and private sector engagement.
• 2-3 years’ experience in programme/project management.
• Strong communication and coordination skills to coordinate with multiple project stakeholders including partners and stakeholders.
• Good organizing and administrative skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Working effectively with others, thinking, and understanding and achieving results.
• Good knowledge of M&E approach and design of data collection tools.
• Excellent written and verbal in English and Thai communication.
• Excellent computer skills especially Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
Desirable
• Experience in supporting partners (NGOs/CBOs) on financial management, sub-grant, and contract management.
• Experience in international donors’ project budgeting management and reporting is highly desirable.
• Verbal and written communication skills any other Asian language
• Be able to advise and give input to peers
