We are looking for full-time multiple positions to join our team at the Enhancing Access to Education on Human Rights, Democracy & Peace in Myanmar Programme. (Fluency in Thai and English is a must)

Institute of Human Rights and Peace Studies (IHRP) is committed to ensure continued support for access to education on human rights, democracy and peace in Myanmar. It is working with partners in the Enhancing Access to Education on Human Rights, Democracy & Peace in Myanmar Programme. This is a collaboration project seeking to ensure continued support for access to education on human rights, democracy, and peace in Myanmar with emphasis on enhancing independent academic institutions and scholars’ capacity to develop academic and research programmes. The key beneficiaries from this program are youth, academia and civil society. 

Working with this program provides the selected candidates an opportunity to work collaboratively with multiple partners, both international and local, under the supervision of senior leadership at IHRP and partner institutions. You will be part of a team to set up operational support and management processes with our partners for the program to run skillfully and effectively. 

Job Descriptions:

1. FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

• Manage Programme operation regarding financial content i.e. financial program information and collaboration, counseling on issues related to finance.
• Budget plan according to annual academic year, activities and policy.
• Foresee of budget spending and monitoring to assure of sufficiency,eligibly and efficiency spending.
• Undertake procurement.

2. PAYMENT PROCEDURES

• Proceed payments according to the budget plan and activities (i.e. scholarship expenses, contract services fee, salary. visibility).
• Coordinate with Partners to arrange financial agreement and settlement according the activity plan.
• Record and prepare the "Contribution" part to be incorporate with the financial report to the Grantors.
• Advise Accountant on expenditure booking system, recording and reporting at the end of a month.
• Ensure timely bank payments.

3. FINANCIAL-ACCOUNTING REPORT

• Assure the financial documents are readable, accountable and eligible for reporting and assure that it is accurately and properly recorded.
• Auditing procedure: Working with the auditor on financial report by attending audit performance, communicating and wrapping up the report.
• Submitting of Financial report, auditor report with the agreement of the Program director to the Grantors.

The positions are based at the Institute of Human Rights and Peace Studies (IHRP), Mahidol University, Salaya campus.
