The Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) is an international non-governmental organization with a mission to accompany, serve, and advocate for the rights of refugees and forcibly displaced people. The organization was founded in November 1980 and has a presence in over 50 countries. JRS undertakes services at national and regional levels with the support of an international office in Rome. The style of JRS service is direct and personal, working in situations of greatest need, seeking the long-term well-being of refugees and displaced persons, while not neglecting their immediate and urgent needs. JRS offers opportunities to a wide variety of staff, local and international, while maintaining a realistic and localized scheme of salary/stipend, insurance, etc.
In Thailand, JRS manages three programs spread throughout urban and rural areas serving refugees and asylum seekers. JRS Thailand has field offices in Bangkok, Mae Hong Son, and Mae Sot. RELATIONS:
The JRS Thailand Finance Manager reports to the Country Director (CD) and works closely with the Program and Project Directors and Regional Program Officer. She will provide direct support to the project finance management staff when requested.
PURPOSE:
The Thailand Finance Manager is responsible for the overall financial management of JRS Thailand according to the Finance Policy and local statutory requirements, and assists/reports to the Country Director (CD).
