BACKGROUND
Baan Dek Foundation (BDF) Founded in 2002, Baan Dek Foundation (BDF) is a registered Thai foundation that aims to improve the fundamental well-being of vulnerable children living in urban slums and construction site camps by supporting their immediate needs, empowering their families and communities through a peer-to-peer approach, and creating sustainable change in the Thai construction sector.
BDF is the only organization in Thailand that has partnered with 40+ construction companies, developing a niche expertise on child safeguarding in the sector. Through its longstanding partnerships with construction companies and the public sector (schools, medical centers, and Ministries of Health and Education, to name a few), BDF aims to deliver a scalable and sustainable response to improve the well-being of tens of thousands of marginalized children across the nation.

POSITION SUMMARY
Under BDF’s Pillar 3: Systemic change, we are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Project Manager to lead the “Health Service for Migrant Workers and their children in the Thai Construction Sector” Project. This new Project is expected to start in May 2024, and aims to address crucial issues concerning access to health services for construction workers and their children living in construction camps in Bangkok. The Project will also contribute to improve health literacy and will engage the construction sector and regulators to improve practices of companies toward the health of workers and their children.
Job Description
Job Title: Project Manager - Construction Sector Health Service Project (New Project)
Type of Contract: Full-time employment position for 2-year (with possibility of extension)
Department: Program Department
Location: Bangkok, Thailand (with occasional work trips to Chiang Mai)
Expected Start Date: May 2024
Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to
1.Project Coordination and Management
Coordinate and support the project's operational planning, including activities, timeline, and milestones.
Collaborate and coordinate with construction companies to implement the project activities as planned.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, BMA, local community partners, and healthcare professionals to achieve project goals.
Support and coordinate with the consultant team in the project, such as the researcher team, capacity-building team, and external monitoring and evaluation consultant.
Develop, organize, and facilitate meetings, workshops, events, trainings, exchanges, and excursions in coordination with component staff and relevant partners/stakeholders.
Provide monthly project highlights to BDF’s Director of Systemic Impact Senior Management Team.
Coordinate with other BDF’s Programs, such as the Child Protection Program, Child Development Program, Community Empowerment Program, and the Building Social Impact (BSI), to ensure synergy.
Develop external networks and relationships with local partners as relevant to the project.
2.Project implementation, monitoring and reporting
Ensure that detailed implementation plans and spending plan are developed and that each of the projects activities are implemented following those plans.
Collect data on project implementation as per the M&E plan.
Monitor project progress as per the project and organizational indicators.
Prepare all reports to the donor with the support of the Partnership team.
Ensure internal communication and collaboration with other BDF projects, generating synergies and contributing to the overall programmatic coherence of Baan Dek Foundation.
3.Support administrative and financial management
Ensure the project is implemented in line with BDF financial policies and the donor financial rules
Supervise and manage procurement process and ensure documentation is properly stored and available for Audit.
Collaborate closely with the finance team to ensure compliance and timely financial implementation of the project.
QUALIFICATIONS
Nationality: Thai nationality
Language requirements: Excellent command of written and spoken English and Thai.
Working hours: Full time - Monday to Friday with occasional weekends and evenings
Remuneration: To be defined based on experience and qualifications
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s and/or higher-level degree in Public Health, International Development, Health Science, Health Communication, Community Health, Health Education, Social Work, etc
Experience in working with Government and/or Non-Governmental Organizations
Experience in working on health projects or working with Thai Health Promotion Foundation’s project.
Experience in private sector engagement
