PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY

The role of a Business Coordinator in a startup social enterprise is crucial for overseeing and coordinating various projects and initiatives to ensure the endeavour's success. The following is a general overview of the job description for a Business Coordinator in a startup social enterprise.

 

Project and Program Management:

  • Collaborate with the Program Manager to align activity objectives with the overall business strategy.
  • Develop and implement program and project management strategies to support business goals.
  • Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously (Wan Mai showrooms, social impact investments, Market Fair, and partnership), ensuring they are on schedule, within scope, and meet quality standards.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans to address challenges.
  • Allocate resources efficiently across activities.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership on program status, milestones, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Use data analytics to assess program effectiveness and make data-driven decisions.
  • Implement continuous improvement processes to enhance program efficiency and effectiveness.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with different departments, including product development, marketing, sales, and finance, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Facilitate cross-functional team meetings to promote synergy and resolve issues.

 

Financial Management:

  • Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring financial goals are met.
  • Monitor and control project-related expenses.

 

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Engage with key stakeholders, including investors, partners, and clients, to understand their expectations and incorporate feedback into program planning.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Networking with social enterprise organizations in Thailand.

 

Professional Development:

  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends.

 

REGULAR RESPONSIBILITY

Project Management:

  • Develop a comprehensive business plan outlining mission, vision, goals, and strategies.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential opportunities and threats.
  • Create financial projections and budgets.
  • Establish and optimize operational processes.
  • Monitor and improve workflow efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards.
  • Manage the company's finances for the Wan Mai Project, including budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Oversee and manage social media engagement and promote brand awareness.
  • Implement cost-effective measures and identify areas for savings.
  • Work with accountants and financial advisors as needed.

 

Operations Management:

  • Foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Develop and implement customer service & supplier policies and contracts.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Develop marketing strategies to promote the business.
  • Monitor sales performance and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of technology systems.

 

Business Development and External Engagement:

  • Build relationships with potential clients, customers, and partners.
  • Attend industry events and conferences as a representative.
  • Explore collaboration opportunities with other businesses.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and assess the business's overall performance.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate best practices.

 

ESSENTIAL SKILL

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • English language proficiency is mandatory, and proficiency in Thai is preferred.
  • Proven network and working experience in the Social Enterprise Industry.
  • Proven experience in operations and project management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and metrics.
  • Proficiency in social media management and analytics tools.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to articulate ideas and strategies clearly to both team members and management.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and industry changes.
