for Hiring an Individual Consultant/Vendor to translate
the training course feedback from Myanmar into English language
I. About Plan International

The Fostering Accountability in Recruitment for Fishery Workers Project (FAIR Fish) is an effort to reduce forced labor and human trafficking in the seafood-processing sectors of Thailand. The project is supported by the Office of Child Labor, Forced Labor and Human Trafficking (OCFT) at the Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB), United States Department of Labor (USDOL). The FAIR Fish project is led by Plan International, an NGO with expertise in addressing forced labor (FL), human trafficking (HT) and child labor (CL) among fisherfolks and seafood processors in Thailand. Project implementation started in January 2019 and will end in December 2024.
II. Background
The FAIR Fish Project developed a Responsible Recruitment Model and an online course on responsible recruitment, https://fairfishresponsiblerecruitment.org. The project plans to organize blended training sessions on responsible recruitment, combining self-paced learning on the online platform and lectures on key content, for recruiters in Myanmar. Trainees who attend these sessions will provide feedback on the training sessions and platform through the pre- and post-training online survey forms, the platform forum, and e-mails. The FAIR Fish project team will then consolidate the trainees’ feedback into MS Word files for translation from the Myanmar language into English by the translation consultant/vendor.
III. Objective of the TOR
This objective of the TOR is to hire an individual consultant/vendor for translating the trainees’ feedback on the training sessions and platform from Myanmar language into English.

The documents for translation will be sent to the consultant/vendor on a rolling basis. Deadlines for translated documents will be agreed upon by Plan International and the consultant/vendor.
VI. Deliverables
The consultant/vendor must submit translated documents in English in MS Word format via email. They can work remotely, maintaining regular communication with the FAIR Fish Project team through phone calls and online channels.
VII. Payment
Plan International will pay the agreed professional fees once the submitted deliverables are accepted by the project’s technical advisor at Plan International USA. The one-time payment will be made one time after the submission of all the deliverables as specified in the deliverables section. Payment will be based on the word count of the original texts provided by Plan International to the consultant/vendor.
