Malteser International is a German non-governmental organization providing humanitarian assistance and development aid for people in need more than 40 countries globally. Malteser International is currently working with temporary refugee shelters, Mae Hong Son province in Thailand. Our office located in Mae Sariang is looking for an efficient, motivated and experienced individual for the position as Project Coordinator

Duty Station: Mae Sariang District

Work locations: Mae Sariang District, Mae Hong Son Province

Duration: One year

Salary range: 60,000 THB (+ benefits)

Main Responsibilities and Duties (shortened version)

Supervising and guiding team members in their day-to-day work, planning and reporting.
Assign specific chores and responsibilities for team members to provide timely and adequate support to beneficiaries.
Organize detailed planning for new arrival support at TSA, non-TSA, or Holding Areas.
Lead survey and assessment work linked to preparation for new arrivals or needs of existing new arrivals for the project and together with other stakeholders as per needs or as per request from authorities.
Together with MNCH Supervisor coordinator with referral agencies on support for referrals to Thai hospitals in accordance with budget limitation and project policy on referral support.
Closely liaise with Partner Focal Points to update on update on progress of implementation
With support of the Logistic unit monitor domestic transport and hand-over of supplies and materials provided and liaise with Partner Agency to monitor material movement.
In close collaboration with PC and Logistic prepare procurement request follow Partner Agreement and timeframes.
Represent the influx support in meeting with local Government and authorities responsible for sites where new arrivals are staying.
Coordinate influx support with relevant local village leadership in areas affected by new arrivals.
Provide regular updates on implementation and ad-hoc in case of significant events or incidents reports.
Provide regular and ad-hoc reporting as required.

Essential Qualifications/Skills:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in fields like Development, Business Administration or other relevant studies with Public Health or similar considered an advantage.
5+ years of experience working with International IO/NGO in development, humanitarian aid or similar field
Previous experience working with refugees and/or humanitarian aid projects or emergency response support.
Experience working in/with the Thailand/Myanmar border context considered an advantage.
Experience with post distribution monitoring tools considered an advantage.
High sense of integrity and confidentiality with ability to work and cope with stress.
Strong analytical thinking, prioritization of tasks and problem-solving skills
Good computer skills with MS package (MS Word and Excel and Powerpoint), experience with data collection tools and software considered an advantage.
Excellent English (spoken and written) and fluent in Thai.
Ability to speak, read and write Sgaw Karen is considered an advantage.
