Agri-Forestry/Forest restoration Project Manager

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Liaise and build relationship with WWF Network Forest landscape restoration under IKEA/ICARE projects to understand and relay WWF’s requirements, stakeholders/platforms/partnership situation to technical providers to obtain the effective and efficient project implementation.   
  • Collaborate and work with stakeholders including rubber, oil palms, durian and other types of plantations smallholders, WWF, technical provider, DNP and RFD, to identify and design an adaptive forest landscape restoration intervention for IKEA 7.2 project  
  • Liaise with Programme Advisor, and devise best practices for appropriate project implementation
  • Involve managers to support work plan/activity plan of the projects with actions and time schedule to move forward the project progress toward the committed deliverables and timelines
  • Provide progress reports of activities, manage budget and clearing advance according to WWF requirements and running errands of assigned projects to the managers and WWF management in a prompt and timely manner

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master degree in Forestry or agriculture would be preferred.
  • 3-5 years relevant experience in project coordination, project management, community development, Agroforestry, forest landscape restoration, and knowledge of Multi-Actors-Platform/Partnership
  • Understand state of forest conservation, challenges, and policies.
  • Understand Forestry sectors, rubber silvic-culture background in Thailand or ASEAN countries
  • Thai native with written/spoken English proficiency
  • Have networking relationship with relevant stakeholders
