BACKGROUND

Winrock International (Winrock) is a non-profit organization that works around the world to increase economic opportunity, sustain natural resources, and protect the environment. The USDA-funded Thailand Regional Agriculture Innovation Network (RAIN) project is a five-year, $16 million project implemented by Winrock. Winrock implements RAIN in 11 provinces in Thailand and supports smallholder farmers and many other agricultural actors in Thailand’s public and private sectors. RAIN identifies emerging climate smart innovations (CSi), promotes CSi to farmers, and ensures sustainability by facilitating market access to CSi in six agriculture value chains. To facilitate market access to CSi, RAIN is developing business models for 30 CSi to scale to a total of 30,000 farmers. The program will promote and distribute CSi from entrepreneurs through many marketing channels, including the Agrimomo website (www.agrimomo.com).

POSITION SUMMARY

RAIN is seeking an Online and Marketing Distribution consultant for this process to work closely between RAIN staff and Agrimomo staff to (1) prepare content with entrepreneurs for uploading onto Agrimomo site, (2) support entrepreneurs in featuring products with link to Agrimomo site through marketing activities and social media channels, (3) maintain the RAIN CSi logo on the Agrimomo site, and (4) collect key performance indicators on the sales and usage of RAIN-supported CSi.

This position is open for Thai Nationals only.

The consultant will work closely with the RAIN staff (primarily, technical team and communications specialists) and Agrimomo staff (primarily, the Head of Sourcing). Activities include:

1. Prepare Content
   1. Collect key information from entrepreneurs about CSi
   2. Work with RAIN communications team to create photos and videos about the CSi
   3. Work with Agrimomo staff to upload content about entrepreneurs and CSi
   4. Ensure entrepreneurs received onboarding support from Agrimomo about receiving orders and responding to inquiries through the Agrimomo website
2. Support entrepreneur marketing
   1. Work with entrepreneurs to ensure that marketing materials have accurate links to the Agrimomo site
   2. Work with RAIN communications specialists to feature CSi
   3. Work with RAIN technical team and entrepreneurs to support marketing activities featuring specific CSi
3. Maintain RAIN CSi logo
   1. Ensure adequate and appropriate usage of the RAIN CSi logo and branding on the Agrimomo website
   2. Work with RAIN Communications Team to promote products linked with RAIN CSi logo
   3. Work with RAIN Communications Team to engage stakeholders (ex. USDA) to explain the use of the RAIN CSi logo
4. Collect performance data
   1. Work with RAIN evaluation team to determine the data that is to be collected from the Agrimomo site for USDA reporting purposes
   2. Work with Agrimomo to collect required data for USDA reporting purposes
   3. Summarize key learnings from the data collected to inform RAIN, Agrimomo, and entrepreneurs for recommendations for improving sales and adoption

DELIVERABLES

1. Prepare Content
   1. Template or checklist of information needed from entrepreneurs
   2. Active CSi pages on Agrimomo site for all RAIN-selected CSi
2. Support entrepreneur marketing
   1. Documentation for each marketing activity
   2. Data as to the results of each marketing activity (ex. audience reached)
3. Maintain RAIN CSi logo
   1. Documentation for how RAIN CSi logo is used
   2. Communications piece featuring the use of the RAIN CSi logo
4. Collect performance data
   1. Record of data collected
   2. Document of key learnings
5.  Weekly report on the progress for above activities and deliverables

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in agriculture, online marketing, or related field
• Demonstrated experience in preparing information for quality presentations and/or marketing purposes
• Excellent writing and communication skills in Thai and English
• Great interpersonal skills

Estimated LoE:

• Phase I: 60 days (estimated at 10 days per month over six months)
• Work is both onsite (as needed) at RAIN office and working remotely
