The ICRC Regional Delegation in Bangkok seeks to fill the following position:
Accounting Manager, based in Bangkok
We are looking for a spirited with a team player and can-do attitude to join our dynamic team.
Under the supervision of the Regional Finance & Administration Manager, the Accounting Manager oversees the accounting data produced and/or validated by the sector or department under responsibility, in compliance with internal procedures. She/he acts as a team leader of the accounting and finance department in Bangkok.
ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise an accounting department in Bangkok with a team of 5 staff
- Support sub-sites under Bangkok regional delegation for all related accounting and finance issues
- Supervise bookkeeping of Bangkok regional delegation and its sub-sites
- In-charge of replying and complying accounting comments from auditors and controllers
- Responsible for cash flow management
- Under supervision of Regional Finance and Administration Manager, establish annual budget and monitoring
- Provide strong support to Regional Finance and Administration Manager
- Ensures respect of financial procedures, rules, and guidelines
- Make sure accuracy of accounting details while using standardized labelling where possible
- Provide strong support to accounting department for the monthly (and yearly) accounting closing including keeping up to date of all imputations in IRIS accounting application in due time, sending accounting details reports to all international staffs in Thailand
- Check all accounting entries along with all necessary supporting documents before validating them
- Draft messages for Regional Finance and Administration Manager to review and send for accounting and financial related issues as assigned
- Maintains good contacts with Standard Chartered bank (Thai) Public Co., Ltd. (SCBT)
- Support Regional Finance and Administration Manager in the establishment of coherent financial procedures, implementations and reports of any irregularities
- In-charge of other tasks as required by direct supervisor (Regional Finance and Administration Manager) or institution (ICRC)
YOUR PROFILE:
- Accounting bachelor's degree
- 7 years’ work experience in accounting field
- Very good computer skill
- Rigorous and trustful person
- High responsibility and working ability to meet deadlines
- Good analytical skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Good command of English and Thai
