ACTED Thailand

ACTED has been present in Thailand since 2012, with bases in Bangkok and Mae Hong Son. Through both emergency and longer-term resilience building programming in Thailand, ACTED seeks to work towards its global strategy of achieving a Zero Exclusion, Zero Carbon, Zero Poverty world.

ACTED’s work in Thailand has focussed on supporting sustainable livelihoods and economic development, through integrated vocational training opportunities and a package to support access to income generation. In additional, ACTED works with civil society partners to implement emergency assistance to regufees on the border area while building the capacity of these partners to respond to the needs of vunerable populations through tailored capacity development programs.

However, in line with ACTED’s belief that – even in a crisis setting – every individual should be supported to achieve their creative and economic potential, all the emergency assistance we deliver in Thailand is implemented with a view towards restoring self-reliance to affected communities, and supporting them towards long-term recovery, right from the start of a crisis.


Acted Thailand is looking for an Office Officer, who works as a team member of Mae Hong Son Office and will contribute to the program as well as ensure the smooth running of the office with support from other members of the unit. S/he is directly responsible to the Mae Hong Son Program Manager, and will also be accountable to Country Office Manager, Finance Officer and other program staff.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead the Mae Hong Son Program Support Unit (Finance, Logistics, Procurement and Administration).
  • Ensure all the documentation of administrative, financial, logistics and procurement documents in accordance with the Acted rules and regulations as well as uploaded/back up onto Acted internal online system.
  • Maintain the base office cash/bank and day to day payment process for the project in timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance of procurement regulations by Acted and Donors.
  • Closely work with Country Office Manager to support with Logistics and Administration Reports in timely manner.
  • Support the Country Office Manager to efficiently communicate approval processes with Local and Provincial level authorities.
  • Ensure effective financial coordinator with main regular communication with (local) partners, in close collaboration with Thailand Finance Officer.
  • Conduct expenditure verifications and feedback to local partners assigned and reporting on funds provided by Acted.
  • Conduct with program team and monthly cash request submission to the capital office
  • In close collaboration with the Program Manager, Field Officer and program team.
  • Support to the Thailand Finance Officer in monthly account closer process and ensure the reconciliation documents.
  • Support to Country Finance Manager in the internal and external audit process.
  • Other duties, upon request of the Program Manager, in coordination with Country Office Manager and Finance Officer.

Required Qualifications and Technical Expertise

"Thai Nationality Only"

  • Degree in business administration, accounting and similar, preferably with additional training in relevant logistical fields
  • 2 years of experience working with finance function in development or humanitarian context with INGOs.
  • 2 years of experience working with procurement within development or humanitarian context with INGOs.
  • Experience in working with stock warehouse management, supply chain, inventory control and transport coordination.
  • Proven experience in general office administration.
  • Good at and simultaneously focusing admin, finance, and logistic fields.
