ตำแหน่งนี้นี้ต้องการผู้ที่มีความรู้และประสบการณ์ในงานด้านการอนุรักษ์และฟื้นฟูภูมิทัศน์ป่าไม้ การจัดการทรัพยากรธรรมชาติแบบมีส่วนร่วม การเสริมสร้างความร่วมมือขององค์กรและหน่วยงานของผู้มีส่วนได้ส่วนเสีย และชุมชนท้องถิ่น ในการอนุรักษ์และฟื้นฟูทรัพยากรป่าไม้ และความหลากหลายทางธรรมชาติ ที่สามารถวัดผลและติดตามประเมินผลของการอนุรักษ์และฟื้นฟูพื้นที่ป่า และที่ถิ่นที่อยู่อาศัยของสัตว์ป่า ตลอดจนบูรณาการกิจกรรมการอนุรักษ์และใช้ประโยชน์ทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ ที่เกื้อกูลและสอดคล้องต่อวิถีการดำรงชีวิตที่ยั่งยืนของชุมชนท้องถิ่น

หน้าที่หลัก

ภายใต้การดูแลของผู้จัดการโครงการอาวุโส เจ้าหน้าที่โครงการ จะประสานงานและดำเนินกิจกรรมโครงการอนุรักษ์ทรัพยากรป่าไม้ และสัตว์ป่าใหม่ ในเขตพื้นที่ อุทยานแห่งชาติแก่งกรุง และกลุ่มป่า คลองแสง เขาสก โครงการนี้มีเป้าหมายในการ อนุรักษ์และฟื้นฟูความอุดมสมบูรณ์ของแนวเชื่อมต่อระบบนิเวศป่า โดยการฟื้นฟูระบบนิเวศป่าไม้ สนับสนุนหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้องทั้งในการกำหนดพื้นที่คุ้มครองเพิ่มเติม และพื้นที่ๆมีศักยภาพในการอนุรักษ์และฟื้นฟูความหลากหลายทางชีวภาพนอกเขตพื้นที่คุ้มครอง ที่สอดคล้องกับมาตรการอนุรักษ์พื้นที่เชิงพื้นที่อื่น ๆ (OECMs) ในการส่งเสริมประสิทธิภาพในการจัดการป่าไม้และสัตว์ป่า แบบมีส่วนร่วมของชุมชน และหน่วยงานที่เกี่ยวข้อง

หน้าที่และความรับผิดชอบหลัก:

• สำรวจข้อมูลภาคสนาม เพื่อรวบรวมข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับความหลากหลายทางชีวภาพและโอกาสในการฟื้นฟูป่าในพื้นที่เป้าหมาย
• ติดตามข้อมูลสถานะระบบนิเวศป่าและการเก็บข้อมูลเพื่อประเมินสถานะปัจจุบันของสภาพป่าและความหลากหลายทางชีวภาพ และความเหมาะสมในการดำเนินการอนุรักษ์และฟื้นฟูความหลายหลายทางชีวภาพนอกเขตพื้นที่คุ้มครอง OECM
• สนับสนุนผู้จัดการโครงการ Eyes on the Forest (EoF) ในการวางแผนและปฏิบัติการบินสำรวจป่าด้วย UAV
• ประสานงานกับชุมชนท้องถิ่น หน่วยงานราชการ องค์กรพัฒนาเอกชน (NGOs) และผู้มีส่วนได้ส่วนเสียอื่น ๆ เพื่อสนับสนุนการพัฒนาแผนการฟื้นฟูภูมิทัศน์ป่า
• สนับสนุนผู้จัดการโครงการ Eyes on the Forest (EoF) ในการพัฒนาและดำเนินการแผนปฏิบัติการช้างอุทยานแห่งชาติแก่งกรุง เพื่อจัดการกับความขัดแย้งระหว่างมนุษย์กับช้างและปกป้องและฟื้นฟูถิ่นที่อยู่อาศัยของช้าง
• ทำงานร่วมกับผู้นำชุมชนท้องถิ่นและหน่วยงานราชการ (กรมป่าไม้) เพื่อพัฒนาและดำเนินกิจกรรมการฟื้นฟูป่าผ่านแผนการจัดการป่าชุมชนที่สอดคล้องกับเป้าหมายการอนุรักษ์ความหลากหลายทางชีวภาพ
• สนับสนุนกิจกรรมการพัฒนาศักยภาพของหน่วยงาน และชุมชนท้องถิ่น ในการเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพในการอนุรักษ์และฟื้นฟูทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ
• สนับสนุนกิจกรรมที่เอื้อต่อวิถีการดำรงชีพที่ยั่งยืนของชุมชนท้องถิ่น ที่สอดคล้องกับการอนุรักษ์และใช้ประโยชน์ทรัพยากรธรรมชาติอย่างยั่งยืน
• อำนวยความสะดวกในการจัดประชุม เวิร์กช็อป และการเยี่ยมชมภาคสนามเพื่อส่งเสริมความร่วมมือของผู้มีส่วนได้ส่วนเสียและการแลกเปลี่ยนความรู้
• สนับสนุนผู้จัดการโครงการในการพัฒนาแผนการดำเนินงานโครงการ

คุณสมบัติ:

• ปริญญาตรีในสาขาชีววิทยาการอนุรักษ์ การจัดการป่าไม้ หรือสิ่งแวดล้อม วิทยาศาสตร์สิ่งแวดล้อม หรือสาขาที่เกี่ยวข้อง
• มีความเข้าใจในนิเวศวิทยาป่าไม้ การอนุรักษ์ความหลากหลายทางชีวภาพ และความเชื่อมต่อของระบบนิเวศ
• หากมีประสบการณ์ในการทำงานในโครงการอนุรักษ์ป่าในพื้นที่แนวเชื่อมต่อระบบนิเวศที่เกี่ยวข้องกับผู้มีส่วนได้ส่วนเสียหลายฝ่ายที่เกี่ยวข้อง จะได้รับการพิจารณาเป็นพิเศษ
• มีความสามารถในการสื่อสารทั้งภาษาไทยและภาษาอังกฤษ

Position title:  Southern Dawna Tenasserim Project Officer, Forest Forward Program

Major Functions:

Under the supervision of the Senior Program Manager. The Project officer will support all aspects of a new forest and wildlife conservation program in and near the Kaeng Krung Forest Complex. This initiative aims to secure corridors for forest ecosystem connectivity and integrity through forest restoration, designate protected areas and areas to be identified as Other Effective Area-Based Conservation Measures (OECMs), influence effective community and public land forest management, and support efforts to manage Human-Wildlife Conflict.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct ground surveys to gather data on biodiversity and forest conversion in Protected areas and nearby unprotected forests;
• Implement forest ecosystem monitoring and data collection to assess the current status of forest conditions and biodiversity, and suitability for OECM identification;
• With support from the Project Manager, analyze data to identify critical areas for interventions and to measure the impact of project activities on forest connectivity and integrity;
• Support the Eyes on the Forest (EoF) Program Manager in development and implementation of the Kaeng Krung National Park Elephant Action Plan to manage Human-Elephant Conflict and protect and restore elephant habitats and corridors;
• Support the EoF Program Manager on UAV forest monitoring flight planning and operations;
• Liaise with local communities, government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and other stakeholders to secure their support in developing Forest Landscape Restoration Plans;
• Work with local community leaders and government agencies (Royal Forest Department) to develop and implement forest restoration activities through Community Forest Management plans that align with biodiversity conservation goals;
• Provide ongoing support and resources to help communities monitor and maintain their forest areas effectively;
• Support and implement community outreach and livelihood projects;
• Organize and facilitate meetings, workshops, and field visits to promote stakeholder collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Support the Project Manager in the development of work plans;
• Monitor progress against work plan;
• Maintain and ensure security of all databases, technical reports, presentations, maps, photos, and videos produced by the project;
• Provide input to communications products/campaigns;
• Support other work as required.

Required Qualifications:                                                                                                                                          

• Bachelor's degree in conservation biology, forest management or ecology, environmental science, or a related field;
• Understanding of forest ecology, biodiversity conservation, and ecosystem connectivity;
• Experience working in forest conservation projects involving multi-stakeholders; connectivity conservation and Human Elephant Conflict Management is highly desirable;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team;
• Willingness to travel to remote locations and conduct fieldwork as required;
• Proficiency in MS Office;
• Proficiency in GIS is highly desirable;
• Fluency in Thai and competence in English.
