Role Overview
The Senior Grant Officer will support the management and implementation of the grants under contracts and agreements component of this anticipated program. The Senior Grant Officer will work closely with the Finance & Accounting Manager / Grant Manager to set up grants management system to perform programmatic effectiveness and accountability.
Core Accountability & Responsibility
1. Issue Requests for Applications (RFA) and Annual Program Statement (APS), and coordinate reviews, evaluation, and selection of the applications.
2. Oversee the preparation and timely submission of grant applications, and develop grant agreement package and modification, including keeping a track record of any changes during the award period.
3. Conduct formal training sessions on grant application procedures, as needed.
4. Monitor the approved proposal’s budgets and manage fund receipt from donors.
5. Managed the proposal budget to compliance with donors’ rules and regulations.
6. Good communication skill to deal with others team.
7. Provide regular updates on the status of implementation approved awards by monthly.
Qualifications and Experience
1. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
2. At least 3-5 years’ experience of grants management and/or program finance experience required
3. Work experience with international NGOs and government organizations will be an advantage
4. Experience working in on donor-funded projects, preferably USAID, with a grant under contracts and agreements component
5. Excellent communications and team-work skills with the ability to relate to people at all levels of the organization and of different multi-cultural backgrounds.
6. Relevant government rules and regulations related financial and accounting tasks
7. Grants, Budget monitoring and general ledger skills
