The IRC has been operating in Thailand since 1975 and currently provides assistance to displaced persons in Tak, Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi and Mae Hong Son provinces.
Job Overview/Summary:
IRC health program provides primary health care services, including reproductive health, child health, nutrition, and mental health, and supports environmental health services, including clean water, sanitation, and hygiene, in seven refugee camps in Thailand. To maintain low morbidity and mortality rates in the camps while increasing the capacity of the health workforce, IRC trains community health workers to ensure continuity of care from camp facilities into people’s homes and to support referral to secondary and specialized care at Thai hospitals. IRC also implements digital health profiles to provide refugees with comprehensive, accurate health records accessible through biometric identification inside and outside the camps.
Under direct supervision of Senior Health Manager, the Health Information System Officer is responsible for collecting and entering data in the Integrated Refugee Health Information System (IRHIS) and for the implementation of digital health profile. The Health Information System Officer will assist Senior Health Manager in addressing issues related to the IRHIS system in the camps and in building the capacity of refugee camp-based workers working on Health Information System.

Internal: IRC program staffs, IRC MHS program support team, IRC M&E team.
External: Camp-based partner organization, HIS coordinator of CCSDPT, Thai Public Health authorities, non-governmental organizations, and United Nations agencies engaged with IRC programs.

Working Environment:
The position is based in Mae Hong Son with frequent travel to Bai Mai Nai Soi and Ban Mae Surin temporary shelters in Mae Hong Son province.
