Introduction
The Borderland Health Foundation (BHF) is a non-for-profit, non-confessional and non-political organization, registered in Thailand. The Foundation is linked to a field station of the Mahidol - Oxford University Research Unit (SMRU) which located in Tak province, Thailand. BHF is working with marginalized populations along the Thailand-Myanmar border to scale up and support the health projects, translating the results obtained by SMRU. The main areas of work are malaria, tuberculosis and maternal & child health.
Tasks/Responsibilities:
The Vaccine Coordinator is expected to work under supervision of the head of the clinical department (or other designated clinical team member) on assigned tasks, and coordinate activities with heads from other departments (e.g., logistics, finance, administration). Overall tasks are to manage vaccine procurement, storage and cold chain; ensure quality control measure are in place, functioning, and being monitored; support and work together with local staff in the field for vaccines; coordinate with partners such as Office of Thai public health, CBOs, NGOs and other relevant partners for vaccination related issues. The vaccine coordinator will represent BHF in local meetings, support discussion and contribute to building partnership and smooth collaboration and coordination. Additional responsibilities include communication with regional organizations and produce reports relevant on vaccine related activities, design monitoring and evaluation plans. There will be regular traveling to coordinate and plan with SMRU/BHF sites.
