Position Description

 

Position:         USAID Asia CTIP Intern

Location:        Winrock International, Bangkok, Thailand

Reports to:     Program Manager, Asia Counter-Trafficking in Persons Program

Duration:        Full-time (3 months)

Closing Date: October 15, 2024, 11.59 hrs. Bangkok time

 

Note: This position is for Thai nationals.

For this position, allowances will be provided for transportation, meals, and miscellaneous expenses.

Position Summary

The goal of the USAID-funded Asia Counter Trafficking in Persons (USAID Asia CTIP) program is to reduce trafficking in persons in Asia through activities conducted under three components: 1) Strengthen learning around trafficking in persons and interventions; 2) Improve coordination and cooperation between source, transit and destination countries; 3) Leverage private sector engagement to reduce trafficking in persons in target sectors.

The USAID Asia CTIP Internship is a full-time, three-month program where interns contribute to creating communication materials (including infographics, visuals, and newsletters) for Asia CTIP's social media platforms and branded content. This person also supports the program of meetings and coordination events and assists in managing the program's website.

 

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop and review communications materials (newsletter, infographic, brochure) to be used in the social media
  • Assist with in person and online learning events (Zoom and Microsoft Teams)
  • Edit and format tools, reports and communication materials highlighting the progress and impact of activities
  • Draft posts and prepare info graphics for social media
  • Support research activities, including data collection and analysis
  • Review and manage the program’s website
  • If required, conduct a desk review
  • Others as assigned

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field (communications, marketing, international development, human rights, human trafficking, economics, and/or livelihoods development) required
  • Exceptional English written and oral communications skills required
  • Graphic design and/or video editing skills strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in software supported by Winrock (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint, and Cloud storage service)
  • Knowledge of simple online design software preferred (Canva, Piktochart, Infographics, Illustrator, Mailchimp)
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills and ability to work independently
  • Ability to demonstrate the highest level of ethical standards at all times.
