Scope of Work
Production of Promotional Videos for the New Thailand Migrant Protection Resource Toolkit
Position: An individual or a company to produce videos promoting PuChuay – Thailand Migrant Protection Resource Toolkit
Type of Contract: Fixed Price Contract
Duration of Contract: 3 months
Closing Date: October 15, 2024
Background
The USAID Thailand Counter Trafficking in Persons (CTIP) Project aims to reduce trafficking in persons (TIP) and better protect the rights of trafficked persons by reducing the demand and incentives for trafficked labor, empowering at-risk populations to safeguard their rights, and strengthening protection systems for survivors.
Currently, the crime of human trafficking has significantly shifted its pattern. Fueled by new challenges and emerging threats, it is becoming more complicated for practitioners in counter-trafficking and migrant-related fields to keep up with the overwhelming influx of information. This includes technical knowledge, up-to-date statistics, and resources that enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of their important work.
Recognizing these challenges, during its first phase, the USAID Thailand CTIP Project developed the “Thailand Migrant Protection Resource Toolkit”, an online platform providing NGOs with access to reliable information and materials. To improve the overall experience and further support users in their research, this year, the Project has upgraded the toolkit by integrating artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
Nicknamed “PuChuay”, the platform has been revamped with a modern look and an easier-to-navigate structure. In addition to the AI assistant that enables users to find the right resources in seconds, PuChuay also features an e-learning hub and information about the Thailand Anti-Trafficking Community (TATC).
In the light of the above, USAID Thailand CTIP Project is seeking a contractual service to produce videos that will (1) promote PuChuay among NGOs working in trafficking and migrant-related issues, (2) introduce key features available on PuChuay, and (3) provide users with guidance on navigating the platform, specifically on how to chat with PuChuay to quickly access the resources they need.
The contractor will be responsible for the development of a creative concept and will be expected to lead the creative design process, including a story board, scripting and complete the voice-over recordings in English and Thai. The contractor will also take full responsibility for the technical part of the video design and editing process and postproduction, including developing animation, handling the copyright and/or any other intellectual rights regarding illustration, appropriate branding and other graphic pictures to be included in the design, if needed.
Objectives:
The goal of this contract is to produce visually engaging, high-quality videos that will be accessible and easy to understand for both expat and Thai staff working in NGOsaddressing human trafficking and migrant worker issues. The videos will deliver key messages about PuChuay’s features, highlighting its role as a comprehensive tool for accessing information and resources related to human trafficking and migrant workers in Thailand.
The length and number of videos will be determined through initial discussions between the USAID Thailand CTIP team and the contractor.
